Marva was kind, smart, very considerate, and professional. I'll recommend her to my kids when they need a car. So if your hunting for some new wheels. Give Marva a call. Disappointing Experience I was referred to the dealership via the Progressive car buying program. Reluctantly, I decided to see what the dealership was able to do to assist wi I was referred to the dealership via the Progressive car buying program. Reluctantly, I decided to see what the dealership was able to do to assist with a trade in. I originally met Marva Thompson, who came across as a very straight forward individual. We appraised my vehicle which after the appraisal was valued at $8,000. This left a balance of $10,000 on the current loan. Marva advised me that this was not impossible. However in order to make a determination, I would have to run my credit. After the credit process, the banks denied me due to the $10,000 remaining on my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. That was disappointing however I moved on with my day understanding that this deal would not work out. While at a dentist appointment, Marva contacted me leaving a message stating that her manager had advised her that he was able to work out something so she would like for me to send over my financial information. I was not able to send it over that day but once again excited about the deal. I forwarded the requested documents to Marva. Excited, I followed up and was told that Marva did not work the next day. I then asked if she was the only person handling the account information and was advised that a gentleman named Ash was handling my account and was put thru to his voicemail. I left a voicemail and much later in the afternoon, received a call back from Ash saying the loan was denied even though he had never received my financial information which I forwarded to Marva. I followed up the next day with Marva and was sent to her voicemail multiple times as well as told she was not at her desk. I called again (anxious) for an answer and got a gentleman by the name of VJ who again told me she was not available. I expressed to him that I had sent her my financial information and she left a voicemail and told my spouse that her manager was able to make a deal and to please have her call me back. She did eventually return my call expressing to me first how I had left her 2 voicemails and spoken to Ash and someone else and that her manager had thought he could do something for me but he could not. I told her that I had sent my financial information to her and she stated you sent it to somebody but not me. I contacted the receptionist and asked for information on the general manager (Dan Ramsdale), she asked if I wanted to be put thru to him and I said yes but I wanted to get his contact information, the agent immediately connected my call to his voicemail without providing me with the information I had requested. The primary issue I had was the experience. I felt more like I was getting on their nerves by calling back after they had provided me with false hope after I had let go of the initial disappointment. The attitude of Ash and Marva was more like I was a waste of time and I was quickly dismissed. All this was after John Thornton Chevrolet repeatedly contacted me regarding purchasing a vehicle prior to me going into the business to inquire. More
