Bad experience turned into a great experience! Made arrangements to look at and possibly buy a car. We had arrainged a loan with our bank and we were going to drive 3 hours to look at, and most lik Made arrangements to look at and possibly buy a car. We had arrainged a loan with our bank and we were going to drive 3 hours to look at, and most likely buy. The week before they decided to say they needed a deposit on a sight unseen vehicle because "someone" was going to buy the car. Sent them a response to tell them to go ahead and sell to the other person, and that they lost our sale. They came back after I told then why they lost a sale, apologized for the "pressure" and hoped we would go anyway. Remember that there are no regulations regarding deposits. Change your mind, or they change the terms, you are out your money. OK, revising review. The dealership was polite in multiple emails after the first incident. After much discussion we decided to give them a second chance. We are glad we did. They were nothing but professional and polite throughout the entire process. Answered all of our questions without any BS, and did not pressure us in any way. After the initial problem I did a crazy amount of research into tactics and training of car salespeople and methods used. I am happy to say that we did not experience the "standard" way of being "dealt with". The whole experience reminded me of when we bought a car at Saturn 16 years ago. We drove three hours to get there, spent three hours at the dealer, and then another 3 hours home. It was worth the time and effort! Thanks again, Brad, Doug, and Matt! More
