Unexpected buying experience I had been looking for a lightly used truck for several weeks. Virtually every dealer I visited exhibited too much pressure for a sale, some were dow I had been looking for a lightly used truck for several weeks. Virtually every dealer I visited exhibited too much pressure for a sale, some were downright rude, and most test drives were "around the block" type, not allowing you adequate time to test the vehicle out. Machens was different. Before I drove 100 miles to see the truck, I talked with Brad Bartlett who spent several approx. 20 minutes checking the truck out before I set out, called me back and answered all my questions. Upon arrival at the dealership he was up front, answered any additional questions and conducted himself in a very professional and friendly manner. The truck was parked outside the dealership, ready to drive. Bra handed me the keys and said "lets go for a ride" with absolutely no pressure, no time limits, and no specific directions as to the route. In short, as we drove, he talked about family, work history, etc. and answered any questions I threw at him. Again no pressure to buy, did not even ask how I liked the truck. He let the truck sell itself. In summary, the buying experience was unlike any I have had before. At 69 years old I have purchased several vehicles and this was the best experience yet. No pressure, fair price, great people, including management and the young man Jacob who completed the paperwork. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle. More
