Second Lincoln Navigator Purchase from John Lange I've been buying Ford truck and vans from this dealership since the 1980's, but had left due to a change in a previous ownership. When Joe Machens pur I've been buying Ford truck and vans from this dealership since the 1980's, but had left due to a change in a previous ownership. When Joe Machens purchased it, I decided to check out the Lincoln Navigator they had on their lot as I have large dogs and needed the room in the rear for them. I was leary about the extended Navigator as I had a Ford Explorer, but John was very low key and told me to take it and drive it for a day or two. I fell in love with it. Four years later and lots of miles, I just went in and found a low mileage 2016 Navigator in great shape with all the bells and whistles for a great price with my trade in. Again, John told me to drive it for a day as it was the regular size Navigator and I wasn't sure I wanted to give up the extra room, but I wanted better gas mileage. Less than 2 hours later Matt had the paperwork done and the keys were in my hand. Ford has always serviced my vehicles and taken excellent care of them, letting me know when things needed to be fixed. They also let me know when it's getting close for other things, such as brakes, tires, etc., not necessarily at that specific time, but in 3-4 months to give me a heads up. That's something I appreciate. John keeps track of when my vehicle is being serviced and always comes back to say hi and check up on me and see how the vehicle is doing - and of course, to ask if I want to trade it in on a newer model! If there's something I can't figure out in the computerized system- these cars today are ridiculous- John knows how or figure it out, and if he can't, he knows who to ask. So yes, I'll purchase all my Navigators from John, and gladly use their service department to take care of my vehicle. I trust John, and Joe Machens Ford, and have always had great experiences with everyone there. More

very good It was a pleasant experience. I had done my home work and even tried a Cmax enrgi out at another dealer which is what got me interested in Cmax enregi It was a pleasant experience. I had done my home work and even tried a Cmax enrgi out at another dealer which is what got me interested in Cmax enregi, they just did not have the particular one I wanted. I looked online and found one at Joe Machens' Capital City Ford. I researched it further online including reading the owners manual. The other dealership offered me $500 more for my trade in. The test drive with Joe went well. It wasn't necessary to show me all the features or explain everything in detail, though not much of that was done. I felt Joe would have if I had needed it. Though I am not sure that he knew everything about the Cmax energi as if anyone does. The SD nav Card is in the mail. The financing took longer than I expected but the explanation of the details was appreciated since it was the first time I have ever financed a vehicle. The explanation of the extended warranty was good as well. The time spent with Jacob was good and nice. The only thing I wish is that the extended warranty started at the date of my purchase rather than at the date of the original sale, something about the loss of the remaining time and milage on the original 36000miles or 3 year warranty. I realize this was out of Jacobs control. Overall the experience was very good. More

Great Buying Experience JC is my hometown, but I live 4.5 hours away. I dealt with dealers in a 400ish mile radius from where I currently live, and I was pleased that the bes JC is my hometown, but I live 4.5 hours away. I dealt with dealers in a 400ish mile radius from where I currently live, and I was pleased that the best price I could find was at Machens JC. I did the whole transaction via phone and email, and it was a smooth, easy process. Douglas Keeler (salesman) is very straightforward in his process, more so than any auto sales professional I’ve ever dealt with. We had a price worked out on the truck I was buying before he even asked me about a trade-in. This is very rare, as most salesmen I’ve dealt with like to get out the 4-square sheet and manipulate the numbers (and the shopper) to get what THEY want. I highly recommend Machens JC...small-town feel with with big-dealer selection and prices. More
