I went and test drove it and noticed a slight knock, I also asked about the tire pressure sensor that was on. I was really assured that the knock was bc they had just done an oil change and it would smooth out. waited for my title and ended up having to pay late fees bc they didn't do it in a timely matter and refused to give me another temporary tag. i had put every penny in my savings towards this car that I had dreamed of! I noticed the transmission slipping in December.By Jan my car was back at the dealership. I begged for a loaner car for three months and was constantly told that I was on the list and if one became available they would let me know. By the end of Feb, first of March I was beyond upset! they kept putring me off blaming it on the warranty company. i finally went into the dealership upset and they said they would have my car ready by that Thursday, Thursday rolls around it's still not done.Friday I went back in and was told there was a "oil leak" on the pan and it had already been approved by my warranty company. but they didn't wanna keep my car any longer than what they already had and they would put me on the list for a loaner and call me as soon as it was available. by July I still hadn't heard from them, my car was overheating and had no power they told me I was never put on the waiting list. I was beyond mad! I called Daryl Barett and told him every thing that was wrong including them slicing my underglow lights, he re assured me that he would make it right, he said he would get a hold of Jeremy Woods, the GM of that location. jeremy than called me and I explained everything including his employees leaving tools in my exhaust manifold that they said the bolts were broken off in. no response the next day the lady in the office called me and told me to come get the loaner so they could work on my Hummer. They sent me a text of what was wrong with my Hummer and everything said pre approved. Derek and I have Gone rounds and i had asked to NOT deal with him at all. Thirty days in I'm told NOTHING is approved again I fought with them after numerous lies and not returned calls I finally got a hold of Daryl Barret again and this time he had a major attitude with me. Jeremy woods called me and told me I needed to come sign another agreement I went back in and even though Jeremy knew nothing about the oil leak and he would call me back and never did the girl said that my hummer was in the shop being repaired. Another month goes by and again Derek messaged me being very obnoxious saying I needed to return the loaner and they weren't fixing anything other than the transmission dip stick I said what about my lights, what about the manifold, what about the secondary air pump valve they told me none of that was covered by my warranty, and they don't touch under glow! Again I called Jeremy and Darryl again no answer and no call back, you would think that when I'm spending 13 Grand on a car from you you would go to the ball for me and make things happen for you the valve is covered but they didn't wanna work on it! Jeremy said they fixed multiple things and didn't charge me I said what the transmission dip stick that's it!!!! I returned the loaner and was told by Jacob that I needed to get into my hummer and leave and where was the equinox. I showed him, when I got there the vehicle they knew was overheating was left running when I dropped off my hummer it had a full tank when I picked it up it was on empty! Hope they enjoyed running my gas out I hope taking advan of a single mom on disability with Parkinson's makes your heart happy! I'm glad you can afford to sit with your kids and have food to eat! HUGE DISSAPOITMENT do NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY IN THERE POCKETS More
Please believe the reviews here about their sales tactics. I wasted two hours driving to buy a car only to get the old “oh we can’t do that” after seeing my immaculate car. I offered to sell my car b tactics. I wasted two hours driving to buy a car only to get the old “oh we can’t do that” after seeing my immaculate car. I offered to sell my car before picking up the new one so it wouldn’t complicate the offer on their new car. I was told it would be easy to get what I wanted to sell my car for. When I finish the new car deal and ask what the used car salesman is giving me it’s 2k less. They made an easy sell no sell because of their salesmanship. More
This is a very dishonest dealership for anyone that’s interested in purchasing a car. They do not honor TrueCar certificate and claim to have no knowledge of the very website that has their dealership on interested in purchasing a car. I have had bad problems with them years ago but gave them another chance because of some of their people. But once again they have gone down hill. I will not recommend them. They do not call you back. They a another chance because of some of their people. But once again they have gone down hill. I will not recommend them. They do not call you back. They are now ill mannered and do not listen to what may be wrong. They say they are to busy so why give them more business. I no longer feel this is a good place to take your vehicle. Prices are higher then other places but if service and people are good you might pay a little more. I made that mistake and now you don't have good people or service. Learn manners and return phone calls, please. More

We check items such as tire tread depth, engine performance, battery life”, etc. “Certification” comes with a 3 month “limited” warranty. Less than a week later and I have to buy an almost $300 battery. Batteries, though allegedly part of the rigorous inspection process, are not covered for even a week. They also try to sell you a $7k extended warranty through a company also owned by Joe Cooper, and charge $695 doc fees, among other shenanigans. More
I purchased a 2017 crew cab Chevy on 11/16/2021. 4 days of having it there was a problem starting it. It would delay and then finally start. Call dealership explain the situation drove it there they had it of having it there was a problem starting it. It would delay and then finally start. Call dealership explain the situation drove it there they had it for two days and could not find anything wrong with. Said that everything was fine. Took it back home and still had same issue. I also live 49 miles from there and had to take it back a second time where they had it for three days and said that they could not find again anything wrong with it. I asked them if they started it first thing of a morning and he said yes and started every time with no hesitation. I told him that was strange because ever since we had the truck it it always delayed especially in the morning but yet I was told it started every time with no problem. And I forgot, the first time I took it there one of the service guys told me it sounds like the fuel pump is going out in it. When I told him that one of the service guys said that it sounded like the fuel pump he said that none of his guys would have said that and basically called me a liar!! I got stuck over Christmas at a store because the truck wouldn’t start at all!! Thank goodness that the truck has extended warranty and I bought it certified was able to take it to Bob Moore in Edmond and was told fuel pump is definitely bad!! I will never go back to Joe Cooper Chevrolet in Shawnee. As a matter fact I will not ever purchase another vehicle from any of the Joe Cooper‘s. More
Bought a car a year 1/2 ago and turned out it was a lemon car I did not find out until I got the title in the mail. I went back October 27th of this year thinking they would make things right however I lemon car I did not find out until I got the title in the mail. I went back October 27th of this year thinking they would make things right however I got screwed again I went to trade in the lemon car for another car turns out that was another mistake by me the vehicle I traded for needed a lot of work. Since buying it in October I have had the transmission replaced by this dealership ac line, brakes, tires and alot more. Then recieved my vehicle back from this dealership and they broke the seat so they had to replace that. Since October 27th I have only driven the vehicle 3 days. These mechanics at this dealership are “oil change” only mechanics. I have dealt with many managers at this dealership and including corporate and I will drive to Texas before I buy another vehicle from this dealership again. More

I took it to the service department to see if they could help me with what was happening. They told me that the reason was that I didn’t have the options that I was trying to adjust. I showed them the build sheet for the car and they pulled their own and found that I did indeed have those options. They decided that the key fobs were the problem and needed to be reprogrammed. I knew that this was not the case but I was tired of arguing with them at this point. I did call and make an appointment for the reprogram and a couple of other things. When I arrived I was immediately told that they would not be able to get to my car that day, that I would have to leave it and it may be several days before they could get to it because they had so many cars ahead of mine. When I asked why they made the appointment if they knew they couldn’t get to it; I was told that they only made appointments for diagnosis and they keep the car until it is fixed. A key fob reprogram only takes about 30 min, so I asked if they would at least do that and I would bring the car back for the rest of the repairs so I could arrange for a rental car. I didn’t get my car back until the next day. When I got in my car the first thing I did was to pull up the settings that kept disappearing and they were not there. I drove back into the garage and showed the service manager. He got a tech to come over and look at the car. The tech said that the settings won’t appear until I adjust the seat and save the settings and proceeds to show me how as if he is talking to a two year old. I stopped him and told him that I had already done that when I first got in the car so I could drive it. The tech got in and started my car and when he pulled up the settings they were there so I looked at the manager and said I showed you they were not there when I drove back in; that’s the whole problem!, they come and go. He said “ oh, I wasn’t paying attention” the tech looked at me and said “the problem is you! You need to go home and read the owners manual”. I told him that I had and I didn’t see anything about disappearing and reappearing programs. He said he wasn’t spending another second on this and he and the manager walked off. When I got home the programs had again disappeared. I called Cadillac Customer Care and they called me back a few days later and said that they had spoken to the dealer and were also told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car and not to bring it back because I was not welcome to their service dept. Cadillac Customer Care recommend that I take it to Bob Moore Cadillac. I did take my car to Bob Moore in Norman. They looked up my vin number and found that my car was still under warranty. So they provided me with a new Cadillac to drive while they fixed my car. Seems this is for any Cadillac still under warranty, not a dealer option. And they did fix my car as well as a multi point inspection all covered under the warranty. I gave Joe Cooper one star only because I had to to write this review. Beware!! More
