Their business model seems to be centered around deceit and misrepresentation, which is not only unprofessional but downright unethical. From the moment I set foot on their lot, I was bombarded with high-pressure sales tactics. And while I understand that car dealerships are in the business of selling, what I cannot abide is the blatant lying and manipulation that permeates throughout Jim McKay. Upon inquiring about a specific vehicle's history, I was assured that the car had never been in an accident. However, upon running a Carfax report myself, I discovered not one, but TWO accidents in the vehicle's past. When I confronted the salesperson with this information, they brushed it off, saying, "Oh, those were just minor incidents". This kind of dishonesty is not only harmful to customers but tarnishes the reputation of the car selling industry as a whole. Furthermore, their financing terms were shrouded in mystery. When I asked for a breakdown of the fees and interest rates, I was given the runaround, with vague answers and empty promises of "the best deal in town." It was only when I insisted on seeing the numbers in writing that the ugly truth of their exorbitant fees and hidden costs came to light. To any potential car buyers out there, I cannot emphasize this enough: do your research and due diligence before even thinking about purchasing from Jim McKay Car Dealership. Their practices are questionable at best and downright predatory at worst. Don't let their polished exteriors and smooth-talking salespeople fool you. There are many reputable dealerships out there that operate with transparency and honesty. Jim McKay is not one of them. Stay away and warn others. More

They post a car, I call and check if the car was there, "Yes" and drove 1:30 mins to get there only to find out the SUV SOLD sometime ago. I looked a truck, brought in my trade that I was over, I knew it, they new it but I was willing to pay the difference. The GM there put some funny math. He was trying to cheat me. If your not good a math, don't come here! They will low ball you and not even drop the price of the car your trying to buy. I made a comment about 4 inches type joke, asked me if I had gas, I answered "yes." He told me to take my car to a bridge and burn it. This is the manager, what do you think your going to be treated like if you have issues with the car or what kind of service would you get from the dealership's service center? If the manager speaks like this, can you imagine the finance department? The sad part, I was will to take a loss and buy the car/truck. The sale manager lost the sale for the salesman, Mr Paul was very nice. I have great credit and I had the money to write a check to pay everything in full. Stay away from here! Jim McKay your sale manager is giving you a reputation. Call me if you like to speak with me anytime. I will update this review, that if you care about the image your receiving from him. I will go in person and meet with you and him! Please update the people you would like me to rate, The manager is not listed, Mr Gonzales or you sales person Mr Paul Myers. This was my first time purchasing a car. Ultimately, I sat down with the finance manager, carefully talked through the contract and we both signed it. I left the dealership Thursday overwhelmed and exhausted, but excited about driving away in a new car and confident that I had paid a price that was in the ballpark of what I had originally planned. Later that night, I received a call from a different employee claiming there was a mistake on the price in the contract that we had signed and that they "voided it." They tried to convince me to sign a new contract that would charge me $3,000 more without any extra benefits. When I asked the dealer what allowed them to void the contract without my consent, they never answered and continued to harass me, trying to pressure me to sign the new, more expensive, contract or to return the car. I was expecting the process of buying a car from a dealer to be stressful, as I had heard they employ various negotiating tactics. However, the harassing me after purchase was on an entirely different level. Be careful at this dealership. Make sure you have a signed copy before you leave. More
Dealership advertises one price then explained there's a 20k mark up. Please just list the vehicle for 94k instead of 74k. It means a world of a difference! 20k mark up. Please just list the vehicle for 94k instead of 74k. It means a world of a difference! More
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They sell 100% LEMONS. You’ll see if you look back that I posted a great review of this place less than a year ago when I bought a used hybrid Chevy Tahoe. Within FOUR MONTHS the engine was bad. Spent $6k on repairs only to find out that BOTH the engine and the battery were completely gone. I called the dealership and asked them to help somehow; they offered me next to nothing on a trade-in if I was willing to buy a $38k car. Worst part—after purchasing on a Saturday i came back the next Monday to pick up tags. The sales manager saw me walk in with my three young children, knowing I was a school teacher who was making a huge financial investment for my family. At first he got wide-eyed and said that the car wasn’t safe for the road and shouldn’t have been sold. He had me leave it for a couple of days to “fix” it and clearly someone told him not to say anything, because when I went back he said that the car was never unsafe and that he just wanted to make sure it was perfect for us. He 100% KNEW it was bad and let us buy it anyway. This dealership doesn’t care about its customers at all. More
Sales people will lie to you and tell you whatever to get you to buy the car. Used car purchased and in the shop a week later. Dealership refuses to take responsibility even after a they signed a “we owe” fo you to buy the car. Used car purchased and in the shop a week later. Horrible service. I had an appointment set up to come from 5 hours away, just to get a phone call an hour out saying they sold the car I was coming to buy. I had an appointment set up to come from 5 hours away, just to get a phone call an hour out saying they sold the car I was coming to buy. More
Jim McKay really fell off the deep-end. I used to get honest estimates on services such as oil changes and alignments from this dealership. However, I brought in my 2019 Camaro SS for an oil change and was given an estimate of $149.55 after they checked up on my car. I approved the service expecting the actual cost to be somewhat close to the estimate. Instead they wanted $200 (a 33% increase from the estimate) and gave me a discount for a total of $181.86. So I called Denis Gallegos (the service advisor assigned to me) and he told me that the estimate was for an "average Camaro". That is extremely misleading. I gave them my car that they checked up on just to give me an estimate on a lower end version of my car. They recommended other services such as an alignment, brake fluid flush, brake pad and rotor replacement, engine air filter replacement, cabin air filter replacement, and fuel/air induction system service. I can't imagine what the bill I would've been stuck with if I agreed to do the other services with since they gave me an estimate based on an "average Camaro". I am extremely disappointed in the lack of transparency and honesty on how much the actual service would be. It makes me wonder what else they aren't being honest with. More
