Friendly Con Artists Jim Ellis is not a very trustworthy place and I would advise people with a choice to seek help elsewhere. They use a lot of gimmicky sales tactics. Li Jim Ellis is not a very trustworthy place and I would advise people with a choice to seek help elsewhere. They use a lot of gimmicky sales tactics. Like all dealerships they take advantage of people's ignorance. Waiting area is fairly comfortable except they were out of creamer, coffee, sugar, and snacks when I went. Overall service time was not bad-- a couple hours for a pre-purchase inspection. Service prices are very high, though. On top of that, they use a lot of slick tactics. They told me I could use the $100 dollars from my inspection towards any service work, but changed their tune once they had my money and said "No we can't use it toward THAT one, it's already discounted WAY too much." Give me a break. I knew what I was getting into and was using the dealer's inspection as a negotiation tool with CarMax-- it saved me hundreds, so it worked out. I wasn't going to say anything, but they KEEP sending me emails about their "3 tires plus one for a $1" ad while I'm at home avoiding the virus (and also don't need tires). So, here's some feedback.
