I like this dealership because the staff is friendly, my service advisor was Cecilia, and she do her best to please you. She always keeps me informed on the status of my car while it’s been worked on, and t service advisor was Cecilia, and she do her best to please you. She always keeps me informed on the status of my car while it’s been worked on, and the bathroom is always clean. I have a dealership closer to me I could go to, but I know the type of service I’m going to get from Jim Ellis and that’s why I keep going there. More

My Prius was due for it's 30k mile service. I made an appointment several days in advance and arrived on time. It took me over an hour just to get through the service bay and have my car taken back to th appointment several days in advance and arrived on time. It took me over an hour just to get through the service bay and have my car taken back to the service dept. It became very apparent to me that they do things "first come first served" here and don't seem to honor appointments with any priority. So my appointment was at 1:30, they took my car back around 2:40ish and didn't come to tell me what was needed until 4:30. That was when they said my fuel injectors needed cleaning, my coolant system needed to be flushed out and my air filters needed replacing. I told her to go ahead and have them do those things along with an oil change and tire rotation. I had also asked them to check my rear right tail light -- condensation was always present so I suspected the seal was bad. It was at this time she told me the tail light needed to be replaced to the tune of $500.00! I exclaimed that it must still be under warranty. She said she would check and get back with me. So about 15 minutes passed and she came back and said most of her technicians were gone for the day so they wouldn't be able to do my fuel injectors or my coolant flush but they could do the other things. I said ok and asked what she had found out about my tail light assembly... was it covered under my extended warranty. She said she still didn't know. So fast forward to 6:30 and my car is finally ready.... keep in mind my appt was at 1:30. When I went to pay for the few things they COULD get done I asked what she found out about my tail light and the warranty. Again, she said she didn't know but would find out and call me the following day. It's been a month and a half and I STILL haven't heard a word from them. So in a nutshell it took 5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. I've never had such a horrible experience at a service center in my life and I'm old so I've had a lot of cars serviced in my life. I usually don't leave reviews but I felt compelled to do so. I doubt anyone from Jim Ellis will ever even see this review but if they do they need to honor people with appointments BEFORE people who just show up. And if someone says they will call me the next day, they need to follow through and do that. I seriously doubt that I will ever be back. More
I came in with my 2004 camry thinking I would need a fuel pump because it would cut off and not start until hours later. This is what I told them. Later, they told me it would cost over $1200.00 to fix. I pump because it would cut off and not start until hours later. This is what I told them. Later, they told me it would cost over $1200.00 to fix. I thought it was high to solve that problem but ok'd it. I pick up my car after work is done and took it home. Next day I go to store less than one mile away and car won't start, so I call my service manager but no one picked up so I assume they are closed early on saturday. I take it back to service dept. They call me up and tells me its gonna cost over $500.00 to diagnose ( 3 hours aprox ). They never diagnosed the initial problem! Of course, I'm not a happy camper with this news! I need my car so I ok the cost once more (almost $600.00). It seems they repaired the problem finally! Since picking it up, it's noisy and my car is so quiet I can hardly tell when it's on but now I can stand far away and hear that it's on. So I take it back to the service dept. They later tell me it's water pump, tensioner and belt ($1300.00) is what's causing the noise. At that point, I could'nt authorize any more work. Didn't feel right. All I know is that I brought it in for a problem they diagnosed and repaired the second time which means they charged me over $1200.00 for repairs that did not address or affect the initial problem. Very nice folks and very professional, however, my experience was not good. More
