Leon Poole is the main reason that I purchased a vehicle from Jim Ellis. He went above and beyond my expectations to deliver a great experience. His personal touch and work ethic is unmatched. It is very clear that he is the hardest working person at the dealership and no surprise that his desk is covered with sales awards. He is who got me back in the dealership and helped broker the deal and prevented me from going somewhere else to make this purchase. The following information is unrelated to my personal experience with Leon and is a reflection of the experience I had with the sales manager that requested I see him after picking up my vehicle that was being serviced. I was asked to see a sales manager about purchasing my used Toyota vehicle and a great offer they could give me on a trade in, along with a new purchase. I was also told that since I am a loyal Toyota customer (2 Toyota's serviced here for over 12 years and we purchased one of the vehicles from this dealership prior to Jim Ellis) that I was a "VIP" and would receive employee pricing and the best deal possible by the sales manager. Not to mention that Jim Ellis prides themselves on taking care of the people that are closest to the dealership and wants to make sure that they capture this market especially (I live less than 2 miles from the dealership and so do my relatives, who also own a Toyota). These were the things that I was told by the sales manger. When I was approached with an offer from the sales manager it was very insulting, which I expressed and questioned at the time. After a brief exchange with the sales manager, who appeared unwilling to negotiate in good faith...I told him that I was offended by his offer on both the trade-in and the new purchase and I left. Over the weekend I inquired with Jim Ellis again on the same new vehicle, except this time online. The price I was offered online (without knowing anything about me at all...where I live or if I am even in the state of GA) was WAY better than what I received from the sales manager. This information is provided so that Jim Ellis has feedback specifically related to wanting to create a family experience and capture the business in their respective markets. Leon Poole saved this deal for Jim Ellis. The sales manger(s) have almost all the power and created a very bad experience after promising so much up front. Remember that they asked to speak to me and then made certain statements that created a certain expectation. I am available for contact if anyone feels the need to discuss further...thank you. More
