Professional, personable, good follow-up Had a punctured tire which I asked about when I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. They looked up my account, found that I had a total tire coverage policy, confirmed that I had a nail in the tire I believed was the one losing air, and scheduled a second appointment to replace it. They replaced it with an identical tire and gave me my old tire (still great condition) so I could plug it myself and have an extra spare, all at no cost to me. More

The engine was getting a little loud and before sending my son off to college I asked their technicians to check the engine and belts to make sure everything was in good order. They had 2 technicians look it over real good and said that everything looked good and they recommended no service. Did not even charge me for the time and attention. How many times do you take your car in for service only to get a list of items that need done, amounting to thousands of dollars worth of repairs. And you wonder if the stuff actually needs done or if the dealership is just trying to make some money. This experience has made Jim Ellis GMC a trusted source for my car maintenance. More
Poor Service Came in today for a simple oil change at 9:30am and left your dealership around 4:15pm. We were told that we also needed a new tire, alignment, filter, etc.. $430 in total. We said ok, then they broke our camera light and acted like they were doing us a favor by not charging us to replace it. Jessica our service advisor dropped the ball and then we couldn't find her. No one offered a ride home or a loaner car for the day. Every time we asked for an update, we were told it would be ready shortly. Jason Dowdy, GM offered us a free oil change for our next visit.... really? We have been loyal customers for 3 1/2 years! We are very disappointed and won’t be back. More

I immediately returned to have them refill the windshield wiper solution which is a customary and routine part of a regular oil change. They seemed more interested in selling me small add-on service than focusing on doing a through job. My most disappointing and baffling experience was recently when the car was in for major and costly repair work...$3K of oil and radiator leaks. My appointment had to be booked a week out. Upon arriving I was told that no loaner cars were available at the time, but I could rent a car at their dealer rate from a business next door. Loaner cars were being held for those upcoming service appointments, even though I had made an appointment a week out. I am totally baffled how a dealership as large as this one simply doesn't have enough loaner vehicles to accommodate their loyal and high paying service repair customers. More
