Thank you for your feedback. We absolutely do honor appointments that are drop offs as well. If a customer does not have an appointment, they are placed at the very end of the line, which is usually a 6 day wait for something to be worked on by our Journeymen. People in the waiting room are only there for oil changes/tire rotations or minor work that does not require a Journeyman. Check Engine Lights (CEL) and other engine problems are diagnosed by journeymen because a CEL can be an indication of extremely serious problems that require a technician with a higher level of training than someone who is only responsible for oil changes and tire rotations. As should have been explained by your Service Advisor, it does usually take 24-48 hours to get vehicles in to our Journeymen for diagnostics due to the high volume that we experience at Jim Butler Chevrolet. So in your situation, it sounds like we got things going quite quickly. I would be happy to look into this further if you provide your name.
