Friendly staff but information withheld My husband and I went to Jim Butler not exactly sure what we were looking for. We did purchase a used car, everyone we encountered was professional an My husband and I went to Jim Butler not exactly sure what we were looking for. We did purchase a used car, everyone we encountered was professional and friendly, however it was not until the "deal" was done that we found out that we did not get as good of a deal as we thought. Little things were missing from the vehicle such as cup holder insert, usb covers, floor mats, user manual....not huge things, but additional money we had to pay to get else where. We did not get a 2nd key fob, again we did know only one key fob was included until we were getting ready to drive off. That's a couple hundred dollars to get an additional one. With the amount of money we are going to be paying for the car, all these extra cost and maddening. The major thing that we are extremely unhappy about is the fact that our sale tax for the vehicle was not rolled into the loan. This is the 3rd car my husband and I have purchased together and with the other 2, the sales tax was added into the loan without any discussion, so we did not know this was not an automatic thing. We didn't even find out about this one until we went to DMV to register it and they came back with us need to pay almost $1400! That's not an amount that we have just laying around, not to mention that the money we did have saved up we used as a down payment on this car. That put us in a very un-envious position, having 30 days to come up with that amount of money, with a family of 6 especially at the end of the year with the holidays coming up. When we found this out we inquired about returning the vehicle, because if we had known this up front we would not have bought the vehicle knowing we wouldn't have the $1400 to pay the licensing fees. Of course we were told that was not an option. We were able to get an additional key fob made from the dealership, but after being told no 2xs before. We've learned our lesson and want to warn anyone who might not know this like we did not. It's not fun to be surprised with a $1400 unexpected bill! More
Take a Ford to a Ford dealer I dropped off a 2014 Taurus w/parasitic drain on battery which I purchased from JB back in May . Service dept tried to figure the problem out but not having Ford diagnostic equipment they took it to Ford dealer after a week, who did find BCM internal fault that was replaced and reprogrammed. In hind site I should have taken it to Ford in first place ,lesson learned. Kayla Merrick the service adviser at JB did her best to keep me informed daily and make sure I had means of transportation while they had my car.I would definitely recommend JB for service on your GM products but not so much on other manufacturers because of diagnostic equip needed for repairs. More

Take the stress out of car shopping They asked about family size, extracurricular activities, preferences of type of car (size, style, & color), preferences of accessories like sunroof They asked about family size, extracurricular activities, preferences of type of car (size, style, & color), preferences of accessories like sunroof and cruise control . Then they showed me cars within my price range and that fit well with my lifestyle. They also suggested cars out of my price range but with less accessories to meet my price. I love having all those options, especially the ones I wouldn’t even think of considering. I ended up picking a car that normally would be out of my price range but opted out of cruise control to save about $1000! More
