Steve has even told me when he thouhgt it was a bad idea for me to trade because I was upside down and I would not be making a smart decision. This is the best dealership ever. I had originally driven a Challenger with Aaron Skinner who shared my enthusiasm for that great car but my son convinced me to go for something more affordable. We went to several other dealerships within days of finally returning to Citrus. As far as car + price presentation and the quality of the sales agent, there was no grounds for comparison. I called Citrus & spoke to Mike Krupka; Mr. Skinner was not in. I said that we had narrowed down the field to X price range & he said, without hesitation & very enthusiastically, Citrus had cars to offer in that range. I said we'd be there in about 45 minutes. When we got there, Mr. Krupka already had the potential cars up on the screen for us to look at. I mean, he met us @ the front door & immediately took us back to look @ the ones that were exactly in that range, plus he told us the mileage & the story of how each had been acquired. We asked to look at the Jeep and the Dodge Avenger. He had immediate access to the keys. (Previous dealers had to search around for keys & they never talked to us about the history of any car.) Both my son & I drove each car a good distance. (One previous dealer could only manage for us to drive around the parking lot.) Mr. Krupka described all the features of each car. He showed us a ranking sheet for each car. The cars looked great; they were incredibly clean & shining. (Previous dealers showed us cars that we would have been ashamed of.) He never at any time pressured us in any way to buy. (Previous dealers kept insisting we reconsider this or that car, such a deal we'd be missing.) The finance team went out of their way to help us. I really appreciate the efforts Mr. Morgan made on our behalf. I asked to buy an extended warranty and they knew exactly what to do. Mr. Hickam was as efficient as the sales rep, if that were possible!! Everyone was fast, Extremely organized, focused, Professional, courteous, appreciative. They ordered an owner's manual & helped us in other ways. The service staff were also helpful, washed the car, made an extra key. Everyone sent emails thanking us. Mr. Griffiths followed up with the link for buying Dodge accessories when in fact, I had just mentioned, off-hand, that I'd like to buy a key ring. It was just a really great experience buying from Citrus. I hope I can return in the near future for the Challenger but meanwhile, I can't say enough good things about the high quality of Citrus -- especially given that we had other dealers to compare. Jan 30 2011 I dropped off my 09 jeep wrangler with Randy the service manager at Jim Brown CITRUS JEEP Dade City it had the check engine light on he had told me it was an o2 sensor or bad plugs and that I ha the service manager at Jim Brown CITRUS JEEP Dade City it had the check engine light on he had told me it was an o2 sensor or bad plugs and that I had installed the wrong spark plugs which where part number ap5426 recomendede by autolite co. Randy had the mec to install champion plugs, this did not fix the problum. he told me an o2 sensor had to be replaced. Feb 2 I went pu my jeep Randy wanted to charge me for a set of plugs, I had told him to hold my old plugs for me, I told him to reinstall my plugs, he got mad and told me he would and after that I better never come back to that service center. After my new plugs where reinstaled they gave me my keys, didn't get out of the shop parking lot befor it was running like 1 cylender was missing after about 1 mile the check engine came on (no suprize there) I went about 5 miles to the nearest Auto Zone asked them to diagnoce check eng light he did and told me the #2 cylinder is miss firing the clirk at Auto Zone saw me removed the #2 plug and found the jeep mec crushed the gap to 0! WHAT THE HELL! I went back Jim Brown CITRUS Confronted randy he told me to get in my jeep or he will call the law I asked for the store manager and waited outside Brad Meredith the G.M.came out. After I explained to Brad what happened he said his mec's would not do that. Brad basicley called me a lirer and there is nothing he would do about it. This jeep only has 26K miles it's still under warenty More

Thursday Morning, January 4, 2007; I arrive at Citrus with my Jeep on a trailer. I explained that my transmission had failed. I presented Citrus with warranty information and unloaded my Jeep from the trailer. Friday Afternoon January 5: I call Citrus and was told that it was not yet known what the problem was with my Jeep. Monday Afternoon January 8: I call Citrus but still have no news. I was then told they would begin working on it the next day. Wednesday Afternoon January 10: I call Citrus and was told that my transmission did appear to have a problem and that it would cost me $495 to tear it down. I replied that it should be covered by warranty. I was then told they would begin tearing down the transmission that evening. Thursday Afternoon January 11: I call Citrus and was told a bearing failed in the transmission causing extensive damage and they were waiting on a response from the warranty company before they could begin repair. Friday Noon January 12: I visit Citrus and was told that they were waiting on an adjuster to inspect the transmission. I was told the adjuster would be there Saturday or Monday. I then explained that I needed to do some things to my jeep in order to get it ready for an Alabama hunting trip I had scheduled the following weekend. I was told it would be OK if I came back on Saturday to work on my Jeep. Saturday Morning January 13, 2007: I arrive at Citrus where I replace my street tires with mud tires in preparation for a week of hunting in Alabama. Monday Afternoon January 15, 2007: I visit Citrus and was told that they should get the final opinion from the adjuster first thing the next morning. I then asked if they had the parts needed for the repair and when they expected to have it repaired. I then explained that I had a week long hunting vacation scheduled in Alabama beginning Friday and that I had planned to load my Jeep on a trailer and take it with me. I was then told my Jeep should be ready Wednesday afternoon. Tuesday Morning January 16, 2007: I receive a phone call from Citrus and was told they would be replacing my transmission with a new one. They also informed me that they would be replacing, under warranty, the rear engine seal (for the second time) and the rear pinion seal. Later that Morning I received another call from Citrus. They again told me that they were going to do the above mention work, but the earliest they could get a transmission would be Monday January 22. Tuesday Afternoon January 16, 2007: I mail a letter to the General Manager of Citrus Chrysler, Brian Olson. This letter included the above mentioned time-line of events. Friday January 19, 2007: I call Mr. Olson and leave a voice message. Later that afternoon he returns my call. We had a long conversation in which he explained that they were very busy, the warranty adjusters were slow, and that sometimes these things happen. He then compared this with a similar incident he had with a washing machine. Monday January 22, 2007: Citrus called and left voice message that my Jeep was ready. I was 500 miles away on vacation and unable to pick it up. Monday Morning January 29, 2007: I pay the $100 warranty deductible and pick-up my Jeep. Everything appears to be working properly however there was a grease stain left on the seat. Conclusion: Based on this experience, it is my opinion that this dealership is more interested in how it can save a nickel today rather than how it can make a dollar tomorrow. The entire staff, including the General Manager, is very good at making excuses and not very good at finding solutions. The total time it took to repair my Jeep was 19 days. It is my opinion that if I had not repeatedly called them inquiring about the status of my Jeep, it would have taken longer. More
