I stopped at this dealership to look at a 2019 Toyota RAV4 hybrid that was advertised for $26.5k. The window sticker said it was $30.5k, so I spoke to a salesperson and he said the online price of $26.5k RAV4 hybrid that was advertised for $26.5k. The window sticker said it was $30.5k, so I spoke to a salesperson and he said the online price of $26.5k is the correct one. Last Friday my fiancé and stopped in and spoke with Dave Morris. We drove the vehicle, sat down to discuss price, and he came back with the total including tax/title/license that was over $32k. While we know $2k of that was tax/title/license, the other $4k were add-ons, basically their "Tru-Coat" (reference Fargo), wheel locks, etc. They were hard-set on this additional 4k and we walked. They called us after we left and offered a $500 "discount". We were ready to buy with cash, went elsewhere and completed a purchase for the price that was listed online. The salesperson was friendly but the xx of the online pricing, a salesperson verifying that was the price, then the add-ons that you were forced to buy (for $4k MORE) is VERY deceptive.. More

Very shady business practises to say the least. The screenshot I have didn't show that part of them confirming, but the one after shows them even further agreeing on the Autorader price, as that was even lower than their advertised price on their website. Get to the dealer, test the Sportage, parents love it and are set to buy... and the overall expected price including tax, title, and doc/dealer fees grew by almost $13,000. They were quoting flat MSRP without any discount, lowballing on trade by roughly $4,000, threw in an over $2,000 paint/undercarriage protection plan (without disclosing until I kept asking), and who the xxxx know what else to come up with an asinine price of $29,894 total (expected roughly $17,000). Solid 1/5 star dealership experience. Noah's a nice enough sales guy, but for your sake and others, try to learn some basic math so you and your customers aren't shocked when your sales managers ask you to screw the customer over. I buy a lot of cars, and help friends and family buy cars. There's a 100% chance I have them steer clear of Janesville Kia. More

I’m not quick to write negative reviews, however, I just had the worst experience I’ve EVER had with a business today at this dealership – Janesville Kia. I called the dealership this morning to express my had the worst experience I’ve EVER had with a business today at this dealership – Janesville Kia. I called the dealership this morning to express my interest in a used 2013 AWD Kia Sportage with 57k miles that was advertised online. I spoke with a salesperson who advised me that the vehicle was still available and to come in to see it. 30 minutes later my daughter and I were at the dealership and first to see the vehicle. It was getting cleaned out in the shop, however, as it was a recent arrival. While waiting to see the vehicle with our sales rep, another customer walked into the showroom inquiring about the same vehicle. To my surprise, when the vehicle was finally pulled around outside, another salesperson took the other customers out to see it and test drive it before I had the chance to. My salesperson immediately expressed frustration with this, and I was told not to worry and that I’d have priority to purchase the car before the other potential customers who had arrived after I did. When the other customers returned with the car, my salesperson took us out to the vehicle and I was allowed to test drive it. While test driving the vehicle I was notified that the vehicle had sold and I was to return with the car. I returned, obviously frustrated with what was happening. I was met by a manager who apologized and said that he would honor the same price on another vehicle. After waiting another extended period of time, they drove a 2018 Chevy Equinox with 88k miles to the front of the dealership. We looked at the car and took it for a test drive. When we returned with that car, the same manager informed us that he looked over the numbers and that he would not be able to honor the sales price of the Kia like he had told us. The price was going to be more. I firmly believe that in a situation like this, a dealership should be willing to take a hit and not make as much money as what they’d have hoped if it comes down to them not sacrificing their integrity, morals and ethics. I really wonder why we were treated so unfairly? We wasted an entire day there only to be disappointed and lied to multiple times. I do want to say that it wasn’t my salesperson’s fault. My salesperson was just as shocked about what was unfolding as I was and told me so. I highly discourage anyone from doing business with this dealership based on my experience today. More
