Let's start with the most recent occurrence. I took my car in because the breaks were making noise. They told me I needed 2 new rotors and new breaks. My car only has 44k miles on it so to need all new rotors was surprising. I asked them why I would need new rotors as usually pads are replaced before rotors need to be replaced. Usually rotors are resurfaced before needing replaced. They said it is because my breaks have been bad for so long the rotors were completely shot. Since I just had my car in there literally 1 week before this for a lube and oil change and 110 point safety inspection this was a huge concern. The safety inspection even said on the paperwork break pads and rotors were fine. This is especially concerning when I have a baby boy 10 months old who rides in the car and I'm being told breaks are fine and then 1 week later saying they have been bad for awhile. I asked them why. They said they had no records of my car being in there for 2 years! Since it was just in there a week earlier and had been in there every couple of months since I had the car this was also a major concern. I even showed them the paperwork and they had no explanation. I could get my oil changed for $30 around the corner and pay Lexus over $100 for the safety inspection. They didn't refund the safety inspection they charged me. They did take the price of 1 rotor off but that is unacceptable. My son's life has been at risk driving on bad breaks and the rotors would not need to be replaced at all if they had been checking the breaks like I've paid them to do every time I bring the car in. This isn't the first time I've had problems with JM Lexus either. I brought the car in this time for 3 things: breaks, low battery key indicator on, and my car cigarette Port charger not working. As soon as I picked up the car the low battery key indicator was still on and the charger port still didn't work! When I asked about this they said they could not fix the cigarette charger. I use that charger because the USB chargers in the car have not worked at all since I bought the car in 2013. I brought the car in 6 times to fix the USB ports that would not work and after all those those service trips they told me eventually they could not fix the USB chargers because Lexus was not compatible with iPhone!! (Seriously??) So, I was told I had to use the cigarette Port to charge my phone. Now I am being told that can't be fixed either. I spend 60k on a brand new car and for 3 years can't even charge my phone in the car! I also picked up my car from the body shop the same time they did the last lube and oil change. They had my car in the body shop for 5 weeks to repair bumper from someone hitting me. A couple days after I picked it up the bumper kept popping off! Needless to say I would never buy another Lexus again. Even though I love the car the service is horrible and not what I would expect from Lexus. Even every time I've taken my car in for a car wash it comes back dirtier than it went in! I've even taken pics to show them before. I've had it washed at Lexus in North Miami Beach as well and always got it back clean so it seems to be a problem with JM Lexus only. When you spend a lot of money you expect superior service not the worse dealership experience you've ever had. How can you treat people like that?? Endanger their kid's lives with horrible service and that not even speak to the client about it. Of course the service managers were aware at the time and did not care then either. This has not been a 1 time experience with JM. You can see from my service records how many times I've taken it in to get my car charger working alone and 3 years later and still does not properly. I can't even put into words how frustrating it is to have to choose between charging my phone or listening to music since I can't do both at the same time. I plan on purchasing a new car around the end of the year and will more than likely go with Audi now because of the experiences I've had with Lexus. I'll take my business where it is appreciated. Even though I was told lifetime washes/vacuum when I purchased the car. Just one more reason why I won't ever buy a Lexus or deal with JM Lexus again. This is why they are the WORSE car dealership in Florida I have ever even heard of. As in my original comment I reported after body shop work that bummer kept falling off! I called body shop and they told me if it pushes back in not to worry about it. I emailed them about it. I mentioned in the survey they sent after. I also left comment about it here and as you can see above they said they would call back and did not. I called over 5 times for service manager and my call was never returned. Due to being hit by a speeding car while jogging I have been in very poor health the past year and have barely driven my car at all. I noticed after they washed car that the headlight on the bumper they replaced is leaking and bumper is still popping off. I took it in today and they told me it was never fixed properly and they would try to get more money from insurance company; although it’s been way too much time. They had me and my infant son sitting there for 2 hours today just to tell me they don’t feel it’s their responsibility when they were paid by insurance company to fix it, did not fix it properly, and were notified of the problem right away several times and did nothing!!! Now they are trying to say not their fault. This dealership is pure xxxx and I will spread the work everywhere that you are a fool to buy a car from JM Lexus. Over a dozen horrible service problems from them!! The manager who told me he was handling it today also left in the middle of it so there wasn’t even a manager there to talk to about it today! Not the same as it has been in the past! I have leased many cars over the many years from JM Lexus in Margate and this is the first time I have questioned my decision. In the past everyone s I have leased many cars over the many years from JM Lexus in Margate and this is the first time I have questioned my decision. In the past everyone seemed extremely friendly and helpful and they all seemed please to be part of a "True Family Culture" with a focus on caring about the customer. That is not what I observed this time. My Sales Consultant as he always has been, was terrific. He was helpful in explaining the new Negotiation-Free Pricing concept and worked hard at trying to help shepherd and ease and expedite the process, including the document process but it actual took much longer than it has in the past. So if the objective of the new pricing concept was to help make the experience faster and easier...so far it has failed. Additionally, many of the individuals we came in contact with seemed indifferent and unenthusiastic. Not at all part of a team and/or family. Disappointing to say the least. If it were not for the Sales Consulting I am not sure I would have continued. Hopefully, JM will soon get back to focusing on the customer instead of building a factory style environment. More
