Unfortunately, I had a big issue with John Nahar who was my contact. He was most pleasant dealing with me over the phone, although I questioned him many times that I didn’t new brakes which he insisted I di my contact. When I went to pick up my car all he was interested in was my paying and leaving. I commented again on the unnecessary new brakes they had put in against my wishes. He asked me to please leave as he said the lady behind you has been waiting for me. I said that’s pretty rude of you … all you’re interested in was my paying the bill. Then he calls the technician Terence to take me to my car. When I get in car snd turn it on the “check engine” light comes on! No one has any idea why as John said he drove the car and it was fine. Now he asks Terence to take care of this issue. John asked me to go upstairs to the second floor and when the car is ready he’ll come and get me. Eventually (at least 45 minutes later) I get a call from Brad who tells me to come get my car. I said John was to come up and get me. He said John’s not here he went out on the road to help someone who’s car died. This is the second time John brushed me off which I find totally offensive to say the least. I told Brad to please have Terence get me. Terence came up and took me to my car. He told me a hose was lose and he fixed it. I thanked snd asked him to please have a supervisor come out as I see a BIG problem now. Karen Reiner(senior service manager) cane out. Told her that my invoice showing the odometer reading mileage in/out was entirely wrong. Invoice read 101,000 in and 101000 out. My odometer read 111634 in and out! How dishonest is this of JM Lexus! She said the person who wrote down reading was probably very busy and certainly not intentional. That’s not good enough response I told her. She said what can she do to bake me happy. I said I mat just call Visa and contest bill. She said how could you do that. I said I think Lexus should compensate me. I said more important I want Lexus to correct the odometer reading to 111634 now. I’m not leaving before I have this. She said she can’t do it. She took a picture of my odometer meter. Thus wasn’t a good enough response. I asked her to have her manager come out. She brought Michael Burrell( a gem of a man)out and asked me what the problem was. I explained the above situation and that Karen couldn’t give a corrected invoice. He told Karen to please go inside and get the corrected invoice done. She came out with it. She also said she refunded me $200.00 on my credit card which I appreciated. Also another issue just very sloppy. I found a little bag on the drivers seat and opened it and showed Karen as I had no idea what it was. It turned out to be the tire key. Karen put it in the trunk where she said it belonged with the spare tire apparatus. Obviously John my personal “Advisor “ never checked my car before it was released to me which is shameful! NowI MUST address the professionalism of Michael Burrell. He is concerned, knowledgeable, kind and an amazing listener. He went out of his way to listen to me but he heard me. I told him my entire experience as addressed above. He was going to send me $100.00 which I thanked him for. When I left I was a bit calmer but still very unhappy that I was dubbed into having new brakes in my car. There was never a warning notice or any squeaking. When I drove home the brakes drove exactly as they did before. I must also tell you that the alternator they said I needed had just been replaced 10/18/21 which I sent copy to John. I have the old alternator to bring back to my tech in NJ. Also I impressed on John that this is a third car and only uses enough to keep it in good shape.. when I got home I called John and told him I was very unhappy still and he said he’ll have Mike Burrell call me. When Mike called me he went out of his way to help me. As he knew I was very upset about the brakes he refunded my Visa for the brakes. I am most appreciative about Mike’s generosity and his keen ability to really hear not just listen to a genuine concern. All I can finally say is that JM Lexus IS so very fortunate to have Michael Burrell as a Manager. He really is outstanding in every way. Thank you Michael!
