Delayed Repair With No Notification Came in to the body shop to repair the side of my car through my insurance. Estimate was 4 days to complete and my insurance covered a rental. After work on the 4th day when I’m ready to return my rental and pick up my car, I check my email and see my rental was extended a week, but no notification/call from the body shop telling me that the damage to my car was more extensive and would require another week of work. This is fine, but a phone call would’ve been nice to let me know my car isn’t ready. Fast forward a week to the new completion date.. I call during work to check the status and now they tell me one of the vendors still needs to show up and it won’t be completed until after the weekend... again with no call to let me know (I have been making every call before I hand my rental over so I am not billed excess. I find out they never contacted enterprise until later to extend the rental date, so I am left in the dark on when to return my car). Fast forward to after the weekend, where I make another call (notice a pattern?) to check if my car will be ready for pickup, and they tell me the vendor never made it out, so they are not sure when my car will be ready. I finally get a call later that afternoon saying my car was ready for pickup (as if the vendor magically appeared and did all the work in record time). This is not a review of the servicing of my car, as everything was fixed properly. This is a review of the body shop representatives. TLDR: was never contacted by J.L. Freed directly that my car return would be delayed, and I’ve had to make every effort (during work most times) to figure out if my car was ready for pickup. More

Chris of the Service dept. was great Came into jlfreed on Saturday for a quick oil change. I thought I also needed a minor map light bulb change. Turned out, I needed to replace the who Came into jlfreed on Saturday for a quick oil change. I thought I also needed a minor map light bulb change. Turned out, I needed to replace the whole base for my map lights. Chris informed that the part needed to be ordered and gave me not only parts and labor estimate, but also informed me the should only take about 20 minutes to complete. Chris kept me very up to date when my part came in and I did not need an appointment. I came the following Saturday and was greeted , and everyone seemed to know who I was and why I was there. The job took less time than originally quote, l was also informed that the part was acquired at a cheaper price. The savings were passed on to me. The whole experience left me very grateful and satisfied with Chris and the entire jlfreed staff. More
