cost of service My car needed a new starter and steering switch. It's a 12 year old Accord. It's my third or fourth Honda from Freed's. The work was done very well an My car needed a new starter and steering switch. It's a 12 year old Accord. It's my third or fourth Honda from Freed's. The work was done very well and fairly quickly. The staff, as always for top quality: friendly and explained what work would need to be done. But I was shocked with the labor charge. The car was in the shop for about two and a quarter hours. I don't know how long it was actually worked on, but the labor charge was $480.00., for about two hours work. Matt Beatty called after to ask if I was satisfied with my experience and we discussed the labor charge. Matt explained labor is charged on a flat rate, not hours, based on national guidelines. I understand the system, but the system is very costly and unfair to you loyal clients. My discussion with Matt was very civil, even friendly. He's a good guy. But that labor charge was outrageous. As I told Matt, that hourly rate is comparable to what my lawyer charges for his time. He joked that it's harder to find a good auto tech than a good lawyer. There gotta be a better...more reasonable...way to deal with labor charges. More

I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and the continued service and upkeep provided at this particular dealership location. I would recommend them to those who request my opinion. 2011 CRV rear break issue I’m very pleased with the service at JL Freed and have been since owning the CRV in 2011. Yesterday was especially meaningful for me. My daughter was headed back to college yesterday morning and heard a noise coming from the rear when she applied the brakes.
