Did not offer the same discount in person as on the phone. Senior (10%)& free car if bill over $xxx. Claimed I needed more work than necessary..tune up & new tires. Their estimate $2,600.00. I purchased a 04 Lexus RX330 on Presidents Day weekend in 2008. The sales person and manager noticed with me the rattle and said their would be no problem fixing it. But when it came to the service depart 2008. The sales person and manager noticed with me the rattle and said their would be no problem fixing it. But when it came to the service department they said they didn't fix rattles. I eventually took it to Falmouth Toyota which fixed it without charge (a much better dealer). But the main problem was that they sent me home with the car uninsured. They said it was, but my insurance agent later said it had not been. The pressure to buy was excessive. They hid my trade and kept me at the dealership over 5 hours. I like the car and have had great service at Falmouth Toyota, but will never go back to Hyannis. I can't even listen to a radio station when their ads come on. Take note local radio stations. I'm probably not the only one. More
Rick did a great job of setting everything up for me. Marty must of come out to hear the noise we couldnt figure out about 5 times. Back in July of 2007 I went to this dealership and although I was an innocent with very little experience in car purchasing, I got hosed. Bought a 2001 Rav4 that I waited almost 4 hours for them to "detail". The price was very high for a 6 year old car. Upon returning to Martha's Vineyard I had my mechanic give it the once over because there were some strange noises going on. He told me it needed a new sway bar and links, the rear brakes were 75% shot and I needed 4 new tires. I had everything taken care of. With financing (over 10%) and an extended warranty I was charged over 18 grand for this car!!!!!!!!! Last week I went to Falmouth Toyota where I had a much different and absolutely fabulous experience. BTW - I had an inquiry into Hyannis Toyota - the manager emailed me 4 hours after my initial inquiry and wrote that a salesperson would contact me shortly. They NEVER contacted me at all. They tried to rip off my elderly mom, selling her a used car for $14,000 and then one year later offering her $5000 for the same car in trade for a brand new car.
