I had a difficult and unfortunate situation when purchasing but the salesman was amenable in trying to make things better. The 1 star is because the service center is AWFUL. After purchasing my car purchasing but the salesman was amenable in trying to make things better. The 1 star is because the service center is AWFUL. After purchasing my car the dealership emailed me multiple times saying I get free oil changes and service - upon bringing it in they said it wasn’t meant for me and I should’ve known that and tried to charge me almost $200 😒 Scheduled an oil change for 12pm today and it was there until 4:30. Workers told my husband they were calling me saying it was done “two hours ago” when they called me at 3:30 asking if I wanted to get x,y,z done - I declined and asked if it was done yet and they said not yet. Mind you, this was the only communication I received from them and I picked up immediately. Unfortunately, we’re learning that with Toyota Danvers, it is a consistently terrible experience. More

Work done was fine . Service managers are sales men . They want to get the most out of you now . They don’t care about the customer’s . I got a service coupon for a 55 thousand mile service for $179.00 no oil change and I added the oil change service and total was around $279 .00 he had calculated that other services had to be done with the transmission and something else bringing the bill up to over $700.00 . Then during inspection they noticed I needed the drive belt replaced . In my mind the drive shouldn’t have to be replaced, I only had about 55000 miles on the car . I googled Toyota to find out that the drive belt should be good for over 60000 miles . When I questioned that he told it didn’t have to be changed at that time . There no option given to have it done later . He could have in the things found the drive belt is discolored or worn and might need to replaced in 7 or 8000 miles . So my service charged that I thought was going to be less than $300.00 was now over $900.00 dollars . Every time I bring my car for service they always surprise you with something else has to be done . I’m 78 years old retired and on a fixed income . Why couldn’t the report have said you don’t have to replace the drive belt now you could have done when you come in for your next oil change? More
The staff member who coordinated my service at the dealership was rude and condescending. The service itself was fine but the face to face customer-staff interaction during the check-out was completel dealership was rude and condescending. The service itself was fine but the face to face customer-staff interaction during the check-out was completely miserable ruined my day. The staff member told me “we have other customers here besides you” and “that’s not the way we do things here”. This associate has a lot to learn about treating people with basic human decency. More
