Ira Toyota has always done a great job on servicing my cars. They are very competitive on the cost and will stand behind their work. They can almost always have an appointment for the next day. This i cars. They are very competitive on the cost and will stand behind their work. They can almost always have an appointment for the next day. This is very different than all the others in the area. Even when they are busy they are able to get my car done in a reasonable time. The dealership is very impressive with its own coffee shop built in, they even give you a free drink ticket with your service. The people are friendly and easy to work with. I have talked to the mechanics at times and they would show me what is going on with my car. If you do service with them you will not be sorry. I have not bought a car from them yet so i can not tell you about the sales. I will try them when i am ready to buy. Peabody, MA More
In September, my fiance and I were in the market for a car. We found a 2002 Camry for $16000 at Ira in Danvers. The miles were low - under 30k. We thought, wow! This is a great deal! We got approved and w car. We found a 2002 Camry for $16000 at Ira in Danvers. The miles were low - under 30k. We thought, wow! This is a great deal! We got approved and when we sat down with the finance guy, he worked us over so hard. We purchased the second best extended warranty plan, and the toyota care maintenance plan. The warranty was over $2k. The maintenance plan was about $1500. The finance guy was sleezy. We just wanted to get out of there. Fast forward to January 30. Our Camry got totaled. We looked for a new Camry, and found one at Woburn Toyota and Foreign Motors. 2007, 7k miles. The price was right, so we got it. When we met with their finance guy was when we found out just how BADLY we got worked over by Ira. With Woburn, we got the BEST extended warranty for $600 LESS than the 2nd best at Ira. The Toyota Maintenance plan was about $400 LESS. So in the end, we are paying LESS per month for a car with 20k less miles and that is 5 years newer. Talk about getting bent over on optional services. On top of this, we went to Ira on 2/1 to cancel the extended warranty plan. I found out today that the company that handles that did not get the request to cancel until 2/21. I then also find out that the funds have been available to Ira since 2/25, so that they could reconcile the warranty program and pay the money to Toyota financial. This is the LAST thing we are waiting for to pay off the loan on a car that has been totaled for nearly two months. And Ira is just sitting on it. I have been telling EVERYONE, do not go to Ira. Go about 30 minutes down 95 to Woburn Toyota. They were FANTASTIC and we had an AMAZING experience. More
This has to be the worst car dealership ever. We were looking for a new Tundra. We had already been to another dealer so we had an idea what we wee looking at. The salesman flat out lied on options avail looking for a new Tundra. We had already been to another dealer so we had an idea what we wee looking at. The salesman flat out lied on options available and even types of vehicle available. He said we absolutely could not get a Tundra without the TRD package here in New England. We I told him I knew we could get it and had actually seen them on other lots he insisted that I was wrong and that we could not get the vehicle I wanted. All the sales tricks from bringing in more managers, finance people etc. I am surprised he did not throw the keys to my trade in on the roof of the building so I would have to buy his truck in order to get home. If you want a good experience go to either Toyota of Portsmouth N.H.(this is where I finally bought my truck and wife's Camry) or Lexington (Massachusetts) Toyota. They were both very friendly and very honest. They will find the vehicle you want and work with you to get the best More
It was a pain, not a pleasure, dealing with this dealership. I dealt with Rani Sarkar. She and I played email tag and it got off to a bad start. First, I emailed her the EXACT specifications I wa dealership. I dealt with Rani Sarkar. She and I played email tag and it got off to a bad start. First, I emailed her the EXACT specifications I wanted: " - 2008 - Prius - Touring - Exterior: Seaside Pearl - Interior: Does not matter (grey or bisque) - Timeframe: within 1 month - Down payment: x-xK - Financing terms: 48 months " Then I get this email.... " Thanks for taking the time to list out your specification on your vehicle search. Have you driven the Prius yet? What options are you specific to? Are you open the the basic model not touring? " She later says I need to come in to discuss financing terms and locating a car. (why do I need to come in to just locate a car???) Anyway, I reply... " Hi Rani, I have driven in the Prius before and would definitely like to stay with the 2008 Touring edition (for it's upgraded features including tuned suspension, high intensity headlights, and the larger wheels). This will be a safer car for me as I drive north to go skiing once a month or more. I would prefer to get as much information as possible over the phone and email as I can. Right now, I do not own a car, so just getting to a dealer is difficult. " She replies.... " Let me know when you are available to come in to sit down with a manager so I can be sure he ready. At this time you need to come in so we can run a locate for color and go over your credit and which bank/lender gives you the best rate. Everything in regards to your vehicle search is already noted, all you need to do is come in to go over your options with a manager. " Again, I have no idea why they persist on me coming into the dealership so they can search for a car. Either way, I didn't like it. So I called their other IRA dealership to get a quote and information... Rani didn't like that much because here's the next message I get.... " I just spoke to a colleague of mine, who informed me that you called and spoke to him in regards to pricing and that you are about a month out on your purchase? I am assuming that you don't have a ride to come in today to go over a locate and closer on pricing with a general manager in the showroom if you are calling around. Is there something I missed? Is there a reason you called in the general number to speak to Anthony rather than me directly? " Needless to say, I gave up with this lady. Other reasons I would not buy from them: 1) bad ratings on this site 2) very high number of BBB complaints (32 over the past 3 years) In the end I purchased from Lexington Toyota. I would recommend Lexington or Acton (salesman @ Acton was very nice, even though I did not buy from them). More
My experience was all positive. Everyone I dealt with at this dealership was friendly and helpful. I had so many questions and they were able to answer every one. I never felt any pressure to buy or make this dealership was friendly and helpful. I had so many questions and they were able to answer every one. I never felt any pressure to buy or make a decision quickly. I left to test drive another type of car without any hassle. I returned to buy the car and was very satisfied with the price of the car and how smoothly the negotiations were. I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family for it's overall experience! More
I have bought three cars from them. This car is a lemon. It has been problematic since the day I bought it, alignment, suspension, belts. They have not stepped up, not a once. I brought it back to the und It has been problematic since the day I bought it, alignment, suspension, belts. They have not stepped up, not a once. I brought it back to the under the lemon law and they lied to me. I brought it back for the same problem after the lemon law had expired and they still lied to me and now I have a 2005 Toyota 4Runner that I do not feel safe selling. The only recourse I have is to trade it in because it's such a piece of shit. I actually drove to IRA today to get trade in information and they were trying to offer me about $6,000 less than retail on a low mileage, piece of shit car that I do not drive. Spoke to the David Rosenberg and everybody underneath him and nothing was done to satisfy this. More
Just adding my voice to the slew of negative reviews for the Ira Toyota dealership (Danvers). We were subjected to outright lying: one "sales price" with "zero percent financing" quoted on the phone linked the Ira Toyota dealership (Danvers). We were subjected to outright lying: one "sales price" with "zero percent financing" quoted on the phone linked to a "confirmation number" and "be sure to only speak to a sales manager". When we arrived we were assigned to a regular sales person, Frank Moshirfar, who was initially friendly, albeit casual. After trying out several cars, we were told much higher prices than quoted on the phone. When we brought up the earlier prices and confirmation number, he couldn't get us off of the lot soon enough. Nonetheless, he said "we have to honor what you have been told" and assured us the deal would still be good the following day when the 0% financing ended. No surprise, when we called back the next day the deal was gone. At least we didn't make the long drive back up for nothing. We are long time Toyota owners who need a car within a week. In other words, an easy sale. Maybe they don't need to sell their cars!! More
These people like to play the good guy salesman against the bad guy sales manager. This place jerked me and my wife around for 2 1/2 hours just to negotiate the price of a 08' Matrix. I wasn't trading an the bad guy sales manager. This place jerked me and my wife around for 2 1/2 hours just to negotiate the price of a 08' Matrix. I wasn't trading anything in because I sold my car in a private party sale. The sales manager gave me a price and I asked for a better price. He flat out replied "thats the price, you wanna buy this car, talk to Bill." that was it. no further discussion. we were the last people to leave that night at 9:30pm. I called Boch toyota the next day. They took off $500 without batting an eye. DON'T CALL IRA! They think all customers are idiots. Well this idiot is buying somewhere else. More
First off, PLEASE NOTE: This rating is for the IRA dealership in Manchester, NH. I could not find a site like this for them. I have purchased 7 new toyota's in my lifetime. Great cars! However, please dealership in Manchester, NH. I could not find a site like this for them. I have purchased 7 new toyota's in my lifetime. Great cars! However, please do not go to the IRA dealership in New Hampshire. MY WORST experience ever. Bullies, unprofessional, high pressure sales, and so sad we completed the deal after having 2 sales managers walk after us on the lot after walking out. REGRET not leaving! The primary reason of ZERO, negative rating, is the salesman we started with, just would not listen. We said what we wanted; he told us what he wanted. We had been to 2 other dealerships prior to coming here, and had test driven 2 cars. This salesman said we had to test drive the car. At this point, we wanted the price negotiation to begin. He said, you have to try on the shoes before buying them. Give me a break. We told him we wanted his best price on the car we they had, and if agreeable we would then test drive the car. After 45 minutes (not a typo), he came back with his price which was $2,000 more than what we had already received at another dealership, and I told him, this price was not even close. He then told me for the 5th time I needed to tell me what price I was looking for? NO sir, as I said to you, I would like to save us both time, just work with us and get a better price. Its funny he can ask me for my price, but yet when I ask him for his price, its NO! 15 - 20 minutes later, a sales manger gets involved. The most arrogant, unprofessional sales manger I have met. He proceeded to tell me how they would loose, money and on and on and on..PLEASE, just give us your best price. After not listening to me, making some comments that were not good, I told him that I knew the sales game, and please just stop and give us the best price. At this time, he said, you can't buy a car from me, because you do not trust me, and he got up. SO SAD. I actually walked after him (even sadder) and said we were finally about $ 300 apart and he was walking away. YES he said....Already made my first mistake going after him, so went back to the salesman spoke with my girlfriend, and we left the showroom. Within minutes, we were stopped by another sales manger that came out of the showroom to tell us, oh, we can work it out. Then they started to treat us better. For the sake of time, the rest of the process took another 2 hours. We got our price on the car, a bit short on the trade, and we did not purchase any of the service contracts. Another high pressure sale, where as you must make the decision on these service options right now! Give me a break. HIGH PRESSURE, NO DEAL. Learn. Went back today to get the state inspection sticker today, they had to clean the greasy marks on the interior of the car, reprogram the sunroof, and we will NEVER place a foot in that dealership again. Gets better...I go the post office today in Salem, NH, and talk to one of the customer service people there, and he tells me about what a terrible experience he had buying a new Toyota. YES, the same dealership, IRA in Manchester. His story is so close to mine. Hard to believe. Many letters to follow, to Mr. Rosenberg the President of IRA, and to Toyota. This dealership can not treat people like this. I understand it's a business. They sold us the car at the price we wanted, and oh yes, told us how much money they lost. PLEASE. I have purchased a number of Toyotas from IRA in Danvers. Always had a fine experience. But I wonder, will I ever give IRA a dime of mine again? I am still very upset about this experience, and can only hope that I save others from a similar one. DO NOT go to IRA in Manchester. More
We bought a certified used car (2003 Corolla) and took it to our mechanic to check out and he said it was not only ( and I quote) a piece of crap" but it had been in a major accident and probably almost tota to our mechanic to check out and he said it was not only ( and I quote) a piece of crap" but it had been in a major accident and probably almost totalled. He told us to take it right back to the dealership and they gave us an incredibly awful time. Their friendly attitudes disappeared and they refused to help us. We have a baby who is a foster child and I am afraid to drive her in this car I fear will break down at any moment. It is horrible. Don't go to Ira Toyota in Milford. More
