I stopped in to Langway Ford on May 28, 2013. I did not have an appointment because a business meeting ended early and I had an extra hour. I explained this to Harold Relly (GM) and he said" he could get have an appointment because a business meeting ended early and I had an extra hour. I explained this to Harold Relly (GM) and he said" he could get me in right away, no problem at all". He even offered me a loaner car in case I wanted to go get a sandwich or a coffee while I waited. I did not take him up on his offer but I did walk around the inside and outside of the dealership while I waited for my car to be serviced. All employees I encountered could not have been friendlier or more service oriented. Both the sales and service teams appeared to be very busy but all interacted with customers with a smile and appeared to be making all customer experiences a pleasant one. This is not my normal experience at other car dealerships. The customer service tone appears to come from the top with the very busy owner on site making sure that all customers are taken care of and made to feel appreciated. This service experience only reaffirmed my previous experience when I bought my new Mustang two years ago. More
We were in the market for a used pickup truck, after finding a truck online at Langway Ford we went up there late on a saturday. We drove the truck but didn't purchase it that day, infact we passed due finding a truck online at Langway Ford we went up there late on a saturday. We drove the truck but didn't purchase it that day, infact we passed due to price. After thinking about it we called back monday (closed on sunday) and told one of the two salesmen we dealt with we wanted the truck. He then told us he would call us back and confirm some things for us. We never heard from said salesman and when my girlfriend went to the dealership later in the afternoon the salesman was out test driving the truck we were going to buy with another customer, When the sales manager was questioned about it he said that if the customer test driving the truck didn't want it we could have it. When my girlfriend explained we talked to a certain salesman earlier in the day and told him we wanted it he said too bad and all she could do is wait and see what happened with the current customer. That customer bought it and we were out of luck. What it comes down to is ethics. This dealer doesn't care about the people who come through the door, it's all about the bottom dollar and that's too bad. More than one person warned us about this car dealer and I can assure anyone that Langway Ford lives up to it's terrible reputation. Bad dealer with an even worse sales staff. More
I was shopping for a vehicle to pull my boat and perhaps a small camper which would get reasonable gas mileage. I've always been a Ford guy but thought that nowadays the F-150's were out of my price range a a small camper which would get reasonable gas mileage. I've always been a Ford guy but thought that nowadays the F-150's were out of my price range and the mileage was not good enough. I had been to Lundgren Honda looking at Honda Ridgelines which were expensive and only rated at 20 mpg and was on my way to Toyota to look at the Tacomas when I passed Langway Ford and saw a F-150 crew cab which is what I really wanted and thought I couldn't afford. I was greeted by my salesman David Haynes who showed me that with the rebates and my trade that the deal made sense for me. I also discovered that the mileage for the 5.0 liter engine was rated at 20 mpg highway which was as good as the small trucks I was considering. David was very personable and well informed about his products. 5 months after the sale I have averaged 19.4 mpg for all miles according to the mileage computer in the dash. This is my first purchase at Langway Ford ( my last truck came from Millbury Ford ) but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that Peter Mathieu is on their team now. I've dealt with Peter over the last 40 or so years and respect him a great deal. The fact that he is part of the Langway team speaks volumes. More
First of all, the reviews below that are so positive are written by Langway employees. Do your research people, if you have a trade in they will rip you off. They follow no guidelines such as Kelly blue written by Langway employees. Do your research people, if you have a trade in they will rip you off. I purchased a used Mercury Mountaineer from this dealership last spring. Two weeks after leaving the lot we had a warm day and went to use the air conditioning and it did not work. I brought the M dealership last spring. Two weeks after leaving the lot we had a warm day and went to use the air conditioning and it did not work. I brought the Mountaineer back and was given a call that the charge was just low and just needed to be topped off. I manage a residential/commercial heating and air conditioning department and told them I was well aware of the fact that if a system is low on charge it must have a leak. Air conditioning refrigerant does not break down over time and if there wasn't a leak there should never be a need for a top off. After the work was completed they said they found no leaks and it just needed charge. Fast forward to this week when it got warm and Mass and now the a/c doesn't work again. Made a call to the service department that obviously they didn't fix it and was told I am on my own. Just another dealer trick, there is no way I would have seen a low refrigerant charge until well after the warranty was over. I bought a new car for my wife so I don't have to work on things and still end up with wrench in my hand because the dealership took the easy way out. More
Langway Ford is convienent;friendly and by far the easiest dealer I have ever bought from. Have referred friends who have become customers as well. Walked in the other day with no appointment, got easiest dealer I have ever bought from. Have referred friends who have become customers as well. I have been buying cars from Jim Langway for several years now and am happy to say that the experience just keeps getting better and better. Shortly after he moved back to the area and took over the Aub years now and am happy to say that the experience just keeps getting better and better. Shortly after he moved back to the area and took over the Auburn location I bought a used 2010 Ford Edge Limited that has been a dream car since I bought it. I bring it to Langway for periodic maintenance and am always pleased with the professional and timely service. We recently purchased a brand new Ford Focus (manual shift) for our sons to drive and are blown away by how much fun it is to drive the car and even more so, how much fun it is to not have to fill the tank too often. Langway Ford is a class act that we will keep going back to for cars as long as they're around. Jim and his staff are more concerned with their customers satisfaction and comfort with the car buying experience and their aggressive pricing structure makes it easy to buy a car that you love without the hassle of haggling over the price. Our family has enjoyed the car buying experience with Langway Ford for years and encourage you all to do the same! More
I have been buying cars for over 25 years and never has it ever gone so well and easy. From choosing the right car for my family (I had no clue what was best for me and my needs!!) to the sales rep who wa it ever gone so well and easy. From choosing the right car for my family (I had no clue what was best for me and my needs!!) to the sales rep who was friendly and informative, I LOVE MY NEW EDGE!! I would tell anyone looking to buy a car easily and affordably. I priced out the car all over New England and NO ONE came close to the price I received from Langway. If you want a nice experience and a great price to see Harold!! More
We bought a 2011 Kia Sorento that had 50,000 miles on it and after only owning the car for 4 months it broke down and needed to be towed 4 times. After the 4th time we had to trade it in. They offered us 5, and after only owning the car for 4 months it broke down and needed to be towed 4 times. After the 4th time we had to trade it in. They offered us 5,000 dollars less than what we paid for the car as a trade in, so I guess they figured that only after 4 months the car depreciated 5,000 dollars. When we bought the car we wanted, we had to wait a week to have it cleaned and inspected and nobody showed us how to work any of the wireless features in the new car. The best part about this is instead of buying back the lemon they sold us 4 months ago closer to the price they sold it to us, they decided to make even more money off us, when I addressed this, the GM's comments were, "We can't guarantee every used car we sell." and "We didn't twist your arm in buying that car." For all the trouble we went through and all the money spent, they wouldn't even offer us anything like a free oil change or tire rotation. I think below that huge Langway Ford sign you see driving down the road should have a motto just underneath it that obviously the GM would stand by seeing that it's his own words: Langway Ford.."We can't guarantee every car we sell." Usually I hate buying new cars, but this dealership is very professional, respectful and courteous. The whole experience, apart from the initial salesperson, was excellent, from the sales manager, to the very professional, respectful and courteous. The whole experience, apart from the initial salesperson, was excellent, from the sales manager, to the finance person, to the delivery experience. The delivery person took a considerable amount of time explaining all features of the vehicle. Overall a great experience. More
