The short version is: I paid $41K for a (used) truck that immediately failed state inspection. IRA is not willing to repair the vehicle to make it road worthy. Within 4 weeks of the purchase I’ve replaced 4 things on the vehicle at my expense (roughly $800 and hours of my time) the salesman lost the second key for the vehicle and it’s now been 7 weeks since purchase and I still don’t have my key. I highly recommend that you purchase a vehicle literally anywhere except IRA. I had a terrible experience with Ira Acura and David Troilo. I purchased a used vehicle here because they were the only place that had exactly what I wanted. It took 9 days to complete a VIN check which takes 15 minutes at any police station. They fooled me into signing a document that said I took delivery on 3/3/2022 although I couldn’t actually take delivery until 3/12/2022 because of the VIN check and the vehicle had to be run through their inspection process again. I was under the impression I was driving the vehicle home since it was my third visit and all paperwork/financing had been completed (I own it!) no one told me I can’t take it until AFTER I signed. During this ridiculous 9 day process they somehow lost the second key for the vehicle, I reached out and the salesman said they would order me a new one. Several weeks later I’ve reached out multiple times and get no response regarding the key that I paid for. I got the new registration in the mail and I took the vehicle to get a state inspection which it failed for bad rear shocks. Again, I reached out and the salesman’s only response was that I can call the service dept to schedule the repair. After 5 unanswered phone calls I finally spoke with someone in the service dept. they want me to drop the vehicle off for the day so they can inspect it and order the correct parts (even though I have the failed inspection report that says exactly what the problem is) I would have to drop it off on a weekday which means taking time off work as I live over 30 mins away plus my wife would need to follow me with our 3 kids and bring me home. I would then need to drop it off for a second day for repair when the parts come in. On top of that they will only replace the 1 shock that is leaking although the vehicle has magnetic ride control and air shocks, these need to be replaced in pairs for the auto-leveling to work properly. With the time out of work and the inconvenience on my family it was cheaper for me to eat the $500 and repair myself. The wiper blades were junk which the salesman told me would be replaced before I pick up the truck (never happened) Also the engine air filter and the cabin air filter were shot, I replaced all of that after a trip to the parts store. They are either incompetent for not noticing these issues during the original inspection or ignorant for knowing the issues and sold me the vehicle anyway. They did offer to do only what they are obligated to do, but they are making it 10x more difficult than it needs to be to deter me from having them make it right. 5 weeks after the purchase I reached out to the manager, Jose Silva. He did apologize but all I really got was “I’ll see what I can do” 1 week after reaching out I still haven’t heard back so I reached out again. He says IF my request is approved they may pay for the shocks that I had to purchase and still no word on my second key (ITS BEEN 6 WEEKS!!!) I have given this place plenty of opportunities to make these issues right before leaving this review. I really didn’t want to have to put this out there but I feel I need to share my awful experience with everyone that I can. $41k for a vehicle and this is what you get. RUN AWAY AND DON’T LOOK BACK! While this isn't the dealership where I purchased my vehicle, it likely will be the one I go to next time.
