Prior to picking up vehicle, both rear shocks and mounts were replaced, suggesting that the dealer was aware of the constant squeaking noise and attempted to address, yet didn’t care enough to completely fix or test drive afterwards. I even called sales immediately after car was home to let them know so there was full transparency. After mentioning this issue and a service request, I was assured that the issue being the trailing arm and bushing was not a safety related issue and the dealer refused to cover any repair. My local mechanic took a look and said that both arms were in very bad shape! A trailing arm can very well be a safety issue! Service took nearly a week to provide an update after stating it would be 24-48hrs. Then also said they were ordering parts - even before anything was approved, come to find out was a lie because I was asked if I wanted them to order parts via a text message. No final phone call was received, just some text messages which is honestly not professional. Also, when the final paper work was being signed, one of the managers was very rude and seemed agitated that a check was provided for purchase price amount. Come to find out that the vehicle needed shocks, mounts and tires, before it was ready and this was likely his final way of a money grab with extended warranties. DISCLAIMER - Profit margins on car sales are marginal, extended warranty and financing make up dealer revenue. When the car was purchased it was in the middle of being serviced and so these repairs were not built into the cost yet, however the dealer still listed the vehicle for sale on the website. Because of this, I will now have to front an additional $1,400+ for repairs. I did not ask the dealer to fix everything on the car but at least do right by the buyer! I thought the IRA group was large enough to be able to provide exemplary customer service that other smaller dealers can’t always. I was very wrong in my assessment. Discouraged, frustrated and disappointed.
