Amir was great at explaining options for my lease on my Forester and getting a new car. He was patient with us and didn’t squawk about me going home and looking at finances. The next morning I called him t Forester and getting a new car. He was patient with us and didn’t squawk about me going home and looking at finances. Completely dissatisfied with the service and communication I received from International Subaru Orland Park. I brought my older-model Subaru Forester in due to a dashboard light that was unable communication I received from International Subaru Orland Park. I brought my older-model Subaru Forester in due to a dashboard light that was unable to be diagnosed at Auto Zone. I was charged $195 for the inspection of my vehicle and my quote. Upon completion, I was informed that the repair would run $1600 plus tax an d would be upwaards of a month to complete due to shipping of parts. It was also expressed that the vehicle might not be worth the repair, but I could consider trading in. I asked if I could contact my insurance company and go through them for the claim, and I was told by Dominik that they did not work with insurance, and that if I wanted to file a claim, I would have to pay them and file a claim/work with State Farm for my money back. In addition to the concern that caused the indicator light to come on, which was an airbag issue cased by a spill, they informed me that they had inspected my vehicle thoroughly and that I needed other routine repairs, including a tune-up, spark plugs replaced, etc. I'd had the car in with my mechanic for a tune-up two weeks before, so it was clear that the thorough inspection they'd claimed to do had not happened. Because of this, I wound up having my car towed to a State Farm contracted repair shop. I received my repair estimate yesterday, and the total estimate was $323.02 with a one-week turnaround. I reached out to the shop manager asking for a refund on the estimate fee, as the estimate seemed inflated with the intention of getting me to look into purchasing a new car. He offered to complete my repair f or $1315 + tax, stating that they use only Genuine Subaru OEM parts and that clearly the repair shop was not doing so. He also informed me that they were authorized to work with State Farm, and that there 'Must have been a miscommunication' when his staff told me they would not work with my insurance company. The service manager, Sam, also informed me that the spark plugs are too difficult to reach for inspection, so they just guessed based on what maintenance is recommended at a certain mileage. However, I told Dominik at the time of the quote that I'd had the work done on my car recently, yet there was no change to my estimate. I'm sure this dealership has great service on a car that's still under warranty, but I would advise others not to bring an older car to this location. While Sam told me "his team doesn't make money if a car isn't serviced, so wouldn't try to sell me a new car", when suggesting I sell, they stated they would need to fix the car up to sell it, which no doubt is compensated at the sale of my car. I appreciate that the shop is running a business, but this excessive quote designed to inspire me to sell my Subaru to them has me rethinking. My husband and I did make the decision to start looking at new cars after our insurance repair is made. We will not be considering a purchase from Subaru any longer, and will move forward on a Hyundai. More
Recently purchased a 2024 Crosstrek with the assistance from sales consultant Bill Kappel. I initially went into dealership just to scout it out and do a test drive. (Not at all pushy or preoccupied). When I returned a second time, he wasn't there which made me a bit bummed because he made me feel comfortable since I really don't enjoy this whole process. His co worker rang him up at home and he came into the dealership to assist me with the purchase. Wow, that's when I felt I was in the right place. And when I traded in my own car at CarMax, Bill picked me up and gave me a ride back to dealership so I could drive off in my new Subaru. I found him to be a very kind gentleman which made for an easy smooth experience. Thanks so much Bill! More
