Ide Volkswagen is a family owned and operated Volkswagen Dealership in East Rochester, NY. It all started in 1970, when Dick Ide opened his first dealership in Fairport, NY. In 1973 he added the Honda franchise. A few years later, in 1977, he moved both dealerships to Panorama Trail.
In 1984, Dick's oldest son, Mitch Ide, opened Mitch Ide's Ideal Chevy-Olds-Geo in Geneseo, NY. Along with his wife, Anne, they ran the dealership until selling it in 2000.
In 2007 Mitch took on responsibility for the Honda dealership from his father and has been involved in daily operations. When we say family owned and operated, we mean it. Mitch is the owner, Anne is the CFO, their son, Rich is the VP.

Spencer and the staff at Ide saved me when my car died at the worst possible time. I was able to get in a new vehicle in record time. David kept the unnecessary car dealer chit-chat to a minimum and allowed me to purchase what I wanted as expeditiously as possible; Thank You! Now, Ide VW I gave only 4 stars to as they seem less tha minimum and allowed me to purchase what I wanted as expeditiously as possible; Thank You! Now, Ide VW I gave only 4 stars to as they seem less than a dealership at the top of their game. It was almost like a throw-back to the small VW dealerships of the 70's. Not necessarily a bad thing but I wasn't inspired by it, either. I wasn't unhappy with what I saw but not overly impressed either; seems like a store that is for sale to a larger dealer group. More

I did plenty of research and narrowed it down to a single vehicle, which happened to be available at multiple dealerships. Ultimately I chose to purchase from David due to his lack of xx, blunt demeanor, and vehicle, which happened to be available at multiple dealerships.
