WILL NOT RETURN !! TRIED TO SCAM ME WITH FAKE BATTERY FAIL Went to have my oil changed and they tried to upsell me. I'm ok with the upsell because the advisors work on commission and they have to eat. However, Went to have my oil changed and they tried to upsell me. I'm ok with the upsell because the advisors work on commission and they have to eat. However, don't tell me I need something I clearly don't. Once my oil change, and tire rotation were complete, my advisor, Sarah, told me I needed a new battery. I HAVE HAD NO INDICATIONS THAT MY BATTERY WAS FAULTY. No battery icon illuminating on the dash board. No unusual sounds when starting the vehicle. NOTHING! So when I asked her isn't there an indicator on my dashboard that would alert me the battery was low ? She himmed and hawed and stopped short of saying that the indicator lights were not reliable, for which I would have had that addressed had she said it but like I said she stopped short. So then I said I want to see the test. She pointed to a piece of paper that stated I need a new battery. I said NO I want to see the test being conducted. So we head to the service bay. I watch the guy conduct the test. He laid the tester on the bay and it initially said 'battery test ok' with a green 'check'. He pushed a button and another test began. It was registering the progress starting at '0' percent until it was complete at '100' percent. He then pushed 'done'. The handheld machine gave a reading. It was 80% illuminating in green. I'm watching all of this but he isn't explaining any of it. He then goes to the inside of my door panel while myself and my advisor are standing at the front of the vehicle being concealed by the raised hood of my car and he comes back with a 'failed' reading. From the inside of the door panel !!! I question what the '80' percent reading was that I observed before he went to the door panel and he stated it was the progress of the test. I say, no, this was after the progress reader reached 100 and you pressed done. It gave you a reading of 80 percent, what does that mean. He dummied up. Then I ask what he was doing inside the door panel, he says scanning the door panel to see what type of battery I needed and then offered to show me the inside of my door panel ;/. Really, you offer to show me the inside of my door panel but not the read outs on the battery tester ??? Just for good measure, I stopped by a mechanic shop on the way home to have my battery checked, on the off chance I wasn't being scammed and I really did need a new battery. Guess what ??!!! MY BATTERY WAS JUST FINE !!!! So I was definitely being scammed ..... never again will I return to this dealership for service or anything else !!! SCAMMER. SHADY DEALERSHIP. WILL NEVER RETURN FOR SERVICE NOR SALES FOR THAT MATTER !!! More
