This was as "painless" a new car purchase as I've ever had. From the moment I drove onto the property I was made welcome and treated not only as a customer, but was made to feel as if the staff genuinely had. I well understand that the purpose of any dealership is to sell vehicles, but purchasing a car or truck is often like buying a house; a process combining the customer's wants and needs as well as his/her emotional satisfaction with both the product and the buying process. Hyundai of St. Augustine satisfied all of those needs for me in a totally professional manner often claimed by but seldom found in dealerships, and for that I commend them. The staff, from the General Manager to the Sales Managers and Finance Manager, and finally to the salesman (usually the first point of customer contact in any dealership) pulled NO "tricks", "games" or "slight-of-hand" foolishness that customers have learned to expect from dealership staff, and that was a major breath of "fresh air". I can recommend Hyundai of St. Augustine without ANY reservations, to family, friends and complete strangers alike. They have a good reputation locally, and after my purchasing experience I can well understand why. More

The finance manager on the other hand was quite the opposite.Dana has a horrible attitude.I was not pleased at all with him!He was rude,very short tempered and unprofessional.He kept speaking about how he had other customers in line which made me feel as if I was a second rate customer.I was trying to ask him questions about the paperwork I was signing and he cut me off everytime I tried to speak. I drove from Savannah,GA to purchase my vehicle and would've turned right around and not purchased if it weren't for how nice and personable Josh was. Everyone I met at the dealership except Dana was wonderful.Josh,Wade,Richard from the service dept. and even the gentlemen that detlailed my vehicle were all stand up individuals.I am looking to purchase more vehicles in the near future and would love to come back to the dealership to work with these gentlemen.Unfortunately, Hyundai of St. Augustine will no longer have any of my business because of Dana! This is the 3rd time we have purchased a vehicle from Roosevelt. I can honestly say that each and every time Roosevelt has treated us with honesty and respect. (I hate the price game.) When I dealt with other dealerships, it seems they were always trying to find ways to take advantage of me. I was given good value on my trade in. Hyundai of St. Augustine definitely has the best prices around and the best staff. Everyone you meet is very courteous. Roosevelt knows his business and knows the vehicles. He seems to be 1 step ahead in thinking of things to do for you. He made sure I was very comfortable with the car and its features (did all the setups for me, i.e. bluetooth) especially since it was evening and I wouldn't have any time to get everything ready for my first drive to work the next morning. I have a 50 minute drive and it was fantastic. My husband rode passenger and felt the same way. There is no way we would ever deal with any other dealership and salesman. We were looking at new cars and had stopped at the Nissan dealership in St. Augustine. We had purchase 3 cars from them (formerly Parker Nissan). We looked at the Rouge and had test driven it. We sat down with the sales person and started to work numbers. We were not pleased as the numbers given to us for both models were the price, plus, plus, plus. We were never told the plus numbers, but were somewhat interested. We then went down the highway and stopped at the Hyundai dealership. We were met by Randy from the beginning (and happy to do so). We looked at the Tuscan and also the Santa Fe. We decided on the Santa Fe and had taken one to test drive. I was very pleased with the car. Again, we were just looking - not expecting to purchase today. Randy showed us all the models re the Santa Fe and we had decided on the middle one, not basic and not high end. We were very pleased with the features as well as the warranty. We then sat down with Randy and he gave us the numbers - all of them. He left us alone to discuss and we went outside to look at the car again. He came out shortly gave us the keys and we drove it again. We then sat down and the numbers were very, very good. We agreed upon a final price and the rest is history. We pick up the car tomorrow! I am so pleased with the care we received, no punches pulled. My husband is pleased that I will be driving a safe car. We will also use the service department when needed. I would, both of us would, recommend Randy and the dealership highly. As I said before, we were Nissan owners, but am proud to say I am now the owner of a new Hyundai! More
I was very surprised by how pleasant my buying a new car was with Hyundai of St. Augustine. I had put off buying a new car for a long time because I did not like the stressful manner in which it was usuall was with Hyundai of St. Augustine. Being in an auto accident which totaled my car forced me into having to go through this process. With Joey Cassata as my salesman, all distaste of past experiences melted away. Joey guided me through the whole process, from choosing a vehicle that was right for me all the way to my driving my new car off the lot. His manner was always one of professionalism (knowing his products and helping me understand them) and helpfulness. He was never 'pushy', and THAT made me decide to buy my new Sonata Limited from Joey. My Sonata has a 5 star safety rating, and I give a 5 star rating to Joey. ***** THANKS,JOEY. I love my new Elantra and am very happy with my choice and end price. The biggest problem I ran into and that really upset me: 1) When my financing became questionable and my mom would have to co-sign o and end price. The biggest problem I ran into and that really upset me: 1) When my financing became questionable and my mom would have to co-sign on vehicle instead of calling me like they stated serveral times they would, they instead emailed me to avoid telling me (b/c they thought they lost the deal, didnt want to deal with me). 2) They lied about the original car that I seen on the internet that I wanted and told me that it had just been sold. Then when I test drove another that looked just like it with a couple extra features and couple hundred dollars more, I decided to purchase that car. When I came back to get paperwork sign (the original car at the cheaper price and less options magically was returned over night, they didnt tell me they were giving me that car and I caught it and told them no I wanted the one I drove yesterday. His remark was "I thought I was helping with a better price", which was a load of crap b/c most ppl when why are helping tell you about it not try to pass it off and sell you a whole other car! A car that was sold yesterday and magically here today. I dont blame the guy for trying to make a living but selling someone something and trying to trick them is a whole other ball game IMO. Besides that: which was the majority of my trip overall, they were very friendly, the financing guy was very helpful, the end price was great... my overall satisfaction is good, I'd go again but be careful they don't try to rip you off the way they tried to get me. The stereo system in my Santa Fe got messed up so I called Kirk and he was able to get me in as soon as I could get to the dearership. They checked out the stereo, were unable to fix it so ordered a ne called Kirk and he was able to get me in as soon as I could get to the dearership. They checked out the stereo, were unable to fix it so ordered a new one which came in only two days later. They called, I responded and now I have a new perfectly working stereo system. They are very thorough, friendly and easy to work with at Hyundai of St. Augustine. I always take my car there for service and they are so kind and helpful. More
