Joseph Cassata was concise and to the point on the the deal. The purchase and finance was relatively quick process compared to previous buying experiences. At first when our over the telephone deal was cancelled on the Elantra 2012 lease for my wife's new car we were very upset and were not going to come in. To have received a call 15 minutes before our Satuday appointment to be informed the Elantra we had agreed on had been sold and all the 2012's were gone made us very angry. We actually hung up on Hyundai of St. Augustine. However both the salesperson and the owner of Hyundai, St. Augustine immediately called us back and listened to our concerns. They both advised "We made you a promise on the phone and if you come in we will show you we keep our word. And they did. So although we we were skeptical we kept that Saturday morning appointment and we are so very happy we did. Paul Smathers the salesmen apologized for the mishap and said to the wife "Let's go find you you're Elantra. Withing 15 minutes my wife had the Elantra she wanted in the colorc she wanted. Not a 2012 but a 2013. Then we all went for a test drive and the Hyundai Elantra sells itself. It is such a well made car. Pleanty of interior room for 4 adults. But it can carry 5 adults if you need to do that. Mr. Smathers expeditiously did all the paperwork and we had our new car. But Mr. Smathers did not just sell us a car. He went over everything about the new car from A to Z. He went through the manuals. He gave us a tour of Hyundai of St. Augustine introducing us to the service personnel. Advised how to make service appointments. Spent 3 hours with us discussing our new car. After Finance Manager's finalized the paperwork Mr. Samthers sat in the Elantra with us and went over all the controls, amenities and how everything worked. Mr. Smathers knows the Hyundai automobile and we needed to be shown how the car works. He did an excellent job teaching us. The Finance Manager advised us how we could save money on maintainence by pre paying the service fees. Saved us over $200.00 So went from "Consumer skepticism" to realizing the personnel at Hyundai of St. Augustine "Keep their word; fulfill their promises." We have had the car for a week now and it is great. The gas milegage is fantastic. It rides so smooth. The car is quiet on the road and extemely comfortable. I am 6-1 and 300 pounds and the car has pleanty of room for even a man my size. Who has ever walked into a auto dealership without their defenses up? Well that is not necessary at Hyundai of St. Augustine. Buying a car from them is like joining a family and we look forward to dealing with Hyundai of St. Augustine for a long time. So we once again thank the owner and Mr. Paul Smathers. They made two very upset people extremely comfortable within minutes of arriving. What better compliment can I write than "Hyundai of St. Augustine are people who keep their word and put the customer first. "Promises made;Promises Kept." A consumer can ask for nothing more. But Hyundai of St. Augustine personnel give you so much more. By the time you leave you are a "Much better informed consumer about the Hyundai automobile." More

I was walking up to front door when Shawn ask to help me , very nice and friendly ! I knew when I came to the dealer what car I wanted to buy and for what price . I had damage to a wheel and 2 tires from a road hazard due to construction on the interstate. Our extended warranty - Blue Steel Protection - which was supposed to cover such road hazards (this protectio due to construction on the interstate. Our extended warranty - Blue Steel Protection - which was supposed to cover such road hazards (this protection was not purchased at this dealership) called the damage "cosmetic" and refused to cover the repairs and replacement parts. The Hyundai service department deemed the damage to be unsafe, rather than cosmetic, and interceded with the Blue Steel warranty company. Cheryl Buck was very thorough in trying to convince them about the actual damage to the tires and the wheel, contacting them more than once. She was not successful, and we are very upset with the refusal of the company to provide the coverage we paid for - but Cheryl went way above the call of duty to help us. Our experience at Hyundai was rewarding, in that the work was well done, and employees give more than lip service to the policy of customer service - they actually go to bat for their customers. More
It was a fun afternoon - hot late summer. My wife and I had been sifting through the internet for days, for just the right car and pretty much found it at Hyandai of St. Augustine. (It got very busy later on.) The sales guys were cordial and polite and well, civil and friendly but not gushy. We had made arrangements by calling ahead and were met with welcome aboard sign at the front door. We chatted with the salesmen, took a long test drive and settled in for the usual lengthy offer/counter session where the salesman goes back to talk to the manger - back and forth until you're so tired, you either leave or reluctantly accept just to get out of there. Didn't happen! We all seemed to be working to get us into the car we wanted, at the right price, with the right terms. And, we did. We got the car we wanted and were happy with it. Bottom line: customer focus made the day. We enjoyed it and will not hesitate to pass the word. More

As a matter of fact every employee I came in contact with was friendly and enthusiastic which has not been the case in my past experiences with car dealerships. Joey was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough from the test drive to the time I took delivery of my new 2013 Sonata!! When it came time to negotiate the numbers (the part I do not look forward to!) Joey and Jimmy made it so easy and simple. The price was cut and dry, they were more than fair with my trade and when it came time to sign the paperwork with the Finance Manager Dave my payment was right where I wanted it! To top everything off the owner Andrew DiFeo came out and congratulated me on my purchase and thanked me for my business. Seriously.... I've purchased many vehicles in my life and have never been greeted by or even seen the owner! My whole experience at Hyundai of St Augustine was fantastic and I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know, not to mention how pleased I am with my new Sonata!
