After searching the internet for days looking for the best deal I narrowed my search for a USED Sonata to a dealership in South Florida because of a several hundred dollar advertised difference (every do best deal I narrowed my search for a USED Sonata to a dealership in South Florida because of a several hundred dollar advertised difference (every dollar counted). Unfortunately, once we were down there they did not have the car that they emailed us the price quote on an hour or so earlier and of course the other cars they had on the lot were around $1,000 more than the one we drove down there for. They low balled us on our trade and made us feel like uninformed buyers. I did my research and knew what I should be paying and what I should receive for my trade. Needless to say we left that dealership and on our way home stopped by Hyundai of St Augustine to see what they had to offer. This was BY FAR the BEST decision that we had made that day. After wasting 6 hours of my time driving and another hour in the dealership "haggling" we arrived at Hyundai of St Augustine and were warmly greeted by Joey Cassata and the St Augustine team of employees. We got right down to business and drove the USED Sonata that they had advertised, but I knew that we would be settling. I inquired about what kind of deal they could work on a NEW Sonata and within minutes was handed a print out with the details of what they had to offer. The numbers that they came up with on the NEW Sonata were better than what the other dealership was trying to get me in to a USED Sonata for. I knew right then that we should have started at Hyundai of St Augustine and will definitely keep this in mind next time the next time we purchase a Hyundai. Joey Cassata and Jimmy Feliciano were AWESOME!!!! They took all of the stress out of the car buying experience and I NEVER had worries about whether or not we were getting a GREAT deal. The 2012 elantra was the first car I have ever purchased. I have been extremely terrified of buying a car because of "car sales man" reputation. I walked into hyundai of st. augustine to test drive a sonata to make sure I wanted to buy a honda accord from a close family member at another dealership. I was trying to pick between the two for quite sometime. Paul was happy to show me the sonata, but after he got to know what I was looking for (color and options) he showed me an elantra with all the options I wanted. I test drove both and ended up liking the elantra better because of the options and 30-40MPG! It also felt more comfortable and I wasn't settling with less options. A good friend of ours works at another hyundai dealership, so we asked him was the asking price was for the exact car and what kind of deal he could get us. The other dealership had a 2,000 mark up on the price and his best discount was 300! That was because these cars were selling faster than they could keep them. Paul, a person I didn't really know gave me an extremely better deal then two people our family is very close with. He didn't try to up sell me at all. The whole process from meeting to signing took maybe 2hours. They were 100% effective and efficient. The first quote they put infront of me with both the sonata and elantra were completely reasonable. I also got a great deal on my trade. which was 1800 better than two other dealerships. Of coarse I tried for a little better price and terms, and most of that wasn't a problem. Now im a Proud owner of a 2012 limited elantra, which I love!! I would recomend PAUL SMATHERS and hyundai of st augustine to anyone and everyone I know. Paul was extremely awesome. He is a great guy, and is now my buddy:) He has followed up with me to make sure that I'm 100% satisfied with my car. My visit to the St Augustine Hyundai was a great experience. It was well worth the drive from Brunswick, Georgia. I initially spoke with Mr Cassata on the telephone. Mr Cassata, knowing I was over 2 hours away, took the time to text me information and pictures of available vehicles I was ionterested in. Mr Cassata was very well versed on Hyundai vehicles and vehicles on the dealership lot. The dealership was clean and the management teram and sales personnel were all polite and professional. Mr Cassata ensured we knew where we were in the process until delivery. At delivery the vehicle was cleaned inside and out. The vehicle had a full tank of gas and Mr Cassata patiently went over the entire car with us. To avoid headaches Mr Cassata helped to program our telephones to the vehicle bluetooth system. Mr Cassata explained all documents being presented for signature. Based on my experience I will return for another vehicle in the future. I felt the dealership provided a great customer service, employees were friendly and I will recommend the dealership to friends and family. Since delivery Mr Cassata has telephoned and e mails me to ensure we were enjoying the vehicle, making sure we did not have any problems or questions and to make sure we notified him if we did have any concerns or questions. Joey also took the time to answer my questions about my new car and explain in detail the workings of the different features.
