He was helpful, sharing his experience and addressing all the questions I had. We decided to visit the showroom that day. It was refreshing to visit a "no-pressure" car dealer. We drove the car and looked at a variety of colors and interiors. We told them we were going on vacation the next day - they said they would keep an eye out for the color we were looking for. (Rosey even drove us home as a special favor!) While on vacation, we decided what package we wanted. We called to let them know and they had just received that very car! Without any signatures, they held the car for us until we returned. When we leased the car, they spent a lot of time, explaining the cars features to us. Even though we had visited the showroom only a couple of times, Andrew, Jimmy and Roosevelt knew us by name, and made us feel very welcome. At the time of purchase, we did not have all of our accessories, but those arrived in a timely manner along with our license plate - saving us a trip!! They installed everything quickly and Roosevelt spent even more time with me discussing the car and its features. If you want buying a car to be a positive experience, you should consider Hyundai of St. Augustine. And I can't say how happy we are with our Genesis! It is a luxury car at a value price - a smart way to have the creature comforts and performance you want without an outrageously high monthly payment. Tell Rosey that Nancy sent you!!! More
I bought a brand-new Hyundai Sonata on Saturday, the 18th of May. Roosevelt(Rosie) was the Sales Representative I worked with. What most impresses me about our experience with Rosie is that he replied to any questions I asked with honest, straight-forward answers. For example, when I wanted to know the price of a Sonata GLS and a Sonata SE, he gave me their discounted price, the dealer fees, and taxes, and a grand total that I could expect to pay going out the door. No games, no shady, veiled answers at all. He also even offered from the beginning to deliver a car to me if he did not have a color and style I liked once I visited the dealership. (I live in Fernandina Beach, a good hour's drive from St. Augustine). Another thing about Rosie that I really appreciated was the fact that he responded to my e-mails and phone calls in a very timely manner. Our buying experience was pleasurable, which is something I never thought I'd say about the process of purchasing a car. We were in the door at 10 am, and on our way home in my brand-new car by 1:30 pm. We have a 6 month old daughter, so you can imagine how much we appreciate the expeditious nature of the entire process. I even got more for my trade (a 2000 Saturn SL) than I expected to from the value predicted by Kelley Blue Book. I absolutely recommend that anyone looking to buy or lease a car make a trip to Hyundai of St. Augustine. It's worth the drive! More
Wow! What a pleasant surprise. We had looked at several other dealerships without success. Originally we ruled out Hyundai of St. Augustine because we thought it was too far. After contacting our credit union car finder program, we were put in contact with this dealership. I spoke first with Wade Wahy who took information about what we were looking for and explaining how he would find the car and what he would do to be sure we had what we wanted at the price we discussed. He connected me with Eddie Hackney and I scheduled an appointment. Eddie called me on the way down to make sure I was not having any difficulty. When I arrived, the car was waiting for me and Eddie went over every detail of every inch of the car before the test drive. I knew immediately that he and Wade had listened to me and had selected the right car the first time. Jason is the paperwork guy and was very personable and precise. Every detail of the deal was exactly as explained over the phone (no "opps, I forgot to add that and now it will be more"). The entire experience was a pleasure right down to the detail of the delivery of the vehicle. Hyundai has won loyal customers in us. Believe me, we talk and we will talk positively about this experience for a long time. More
There are two people I would like to commend. First the manager Kirk Guillotte who when I called him to tell him my car would not shift out of drive, he walked me through how to use the shift release butto manager Kirk Guillotte who when I called him to tell him my car would not shift out of drive, he walked me through how to use the shift release button and told me if it happens again to bring the car in. Within 5 minutes of speaking with him it happened again, but this time thanks to Kirk I was able to release it and drive directly to the Hyundai of St. Augustine service department. Kirk treated me with a great deal of respect. He was concerned and did not treat me like a 65 year old woman who who doesn't know what she is talking about. After a while William Jennings (the other person I would like to commend) came out and said it seems to be working now. They could not understand why it did not work before, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. 8 days later the very same thing happened. This time I was in my garage when it would not go out of gear. I called and was told to come in. When I did they assured me that this time they would not release the car to me until they found out what was causing this problem. True to their word, William found the problem and fixed it. I have had no trouble with the car since and feel confident that if I ever do have a problem these two gentlemen will back me up. My wife's daughter was driving an old car, having just finished college and before full time employment. I visited Andrew and explained the situation before she came in. We reviewed the used cars and her financial situation. She placed an online credit application and Sunday we all went down. Everyone was there to greet us. While Ryne and Kristen and mom test drove cars, Andrew and I investigated purchase options. Although having good credit, she technically didn't have a job which caused some issues. Andrew took Monday and networked seeing what could be done and emailed me progress. Andrew has a strong sense of core values and honesty that I just let him run with it. In the end, the best option from a safety and price opportunity was a new Elantra that I backed the loan for. He didn't push me that way, he just presented the options. Kristen was thrilled, naturally, mom was releived and Andrew and I knew we had done the right thing. I short, I trust this dealership to bring my family to and work out the situation with. They are the only place I consider going to. More
We live 90 miles away and we did the deal over the phone in less than 5 min. We purchased a 2008 Hyundai Azera. Then the salesman called and said he could deliver the car to us that day. Absolutely the most trouble free and hassle free vehicle purchase I have ever made.
