Ridiculous experience. TLDR - Rude staff and exorbitant markups (10K USD) and I was made fun of and laughed at in front of the whole dealership when I said "Keep me in mind TLDR - Rude staff and exorbitant markups (10K USD) and I was made fun of and laughed at in front of the whole dealership when I said "Keep me in mind if you decide to sell at msrp". Long story - I was called into the dealership today with a text message from their salesperson that said “ ioniq limited available right now!!!” The message came in at 12:10. I cancelled all my meetings for the afternoon and took the 2nd half off and drove in from everett to reach dealership at 12:50. I was made to wait for 20 minutes as the salesperson was busy and then i was told the car is not available and it was pre sold. My rep thought the buyer had backed out but the buyer had not. Sales rep was very empathetic and I didn’t make a big deal out of it although he could’ve done better research before calling me in. He knew I was driving from far and he confirmed on the call that I should come in but despite his mistake, I did not show I was unhappy with him. Mistakes happen. What drove me crazy were the 2 things that happened after. 1) I was not even allowed to see the car from inside. I never even asked for a test drive but he did not even get to unlock the car for me. I think, as a dealership, if your salesperson makes a mistake, you should at least acknowledge the mistake and help the client. 2) His manager was extremely rude to me when I said that I would not pay 10K mark up for the car. I was very polite, I never told him he should sell the car to me for anything less than he wants to. I only told him to keep me in mind when he removes his mark up to which he laughed at me loudly in front of the whole dealership and made me feel like an idiot. I would never expect a manager to exhibit such absurd behaviour, and I was appalled that he would stoop so low as to embarrass and insult me when I was not even lowballing him. I was offering MSRP. I honestly think dealer markups are not fair. I think MSRP should have been higher if invoice = MSRP but as a buyer, expecting a car to be sold at MSRP should NOT be laughed upon. I’m in shock with what happened today. More

Sold a $50K brick that is sitting in my driveway. Six months after purchasing a new Palisade we went to drive the car and the e-parking brake system (that automatically turns on when parking on an i Six months after purchasing a new Palisade we went to drive the car and the e-parking brake system (that automatically turns on when parking on an incline - aka any driveway) has failed without warning and the e-brakes are locked on and won't release. Three warning lights pop up on my dash immediately. I'm mechanically inclined and do major repairs on my older cars, but this is an electrical/relay issue that I can't fix. Hyundai of Kirkland told me "you can get it towed here but we can't get to it for 6-8 weeks to make the repair." and "we don't have any loaners so you will be without your car." I am stuck with monthly car payments without a car. Hyundai of Kirkland won't do anything about it - "that is just how it is right now as we are selling so many cars. We are a small independent dealer that we can't do anything about it. You'll need to pay for a rental if you need a car. We can't get your car fixed any sooner." Apparently, they are okay with selling cars and don't care once the sale is made. Hyundai of USA won't do anything either saying it's a dealership issue, not theirs. Want regular service done to keep your car under warranty? Make sure you call 2-3 months in advance and you MIGHT get an appointment. Wait longer and risk voiding your warranty by not getting the regular service done. We have a service appointment that we scheduled 2 months ago next Monday. Apparently, they can only do the maintenance service then (pretty much an oil change) but will put our issues into the queue and get to it 6-8 weeks later. Other dealers won't service our car since we "didn't purchase it at their location" - that is insane Hyundai USA! I'll never purchase another Hyundai again - and definitely will not be recommending their cars or this location. After the sale, they just don't care anymore. More

Instead of trying to sell us the most expensive car, she worked with us on the car that we could afford and accommodated the upgrades that we wanted. We highly recommend Jessica and Mak her finance manager at Hyundai of Tucson. More
