1 STAR — AND ONLY BECAUSE I CAN’T GIVE ZERO. I would seriously think twice before buying a vehicle from Hyundai of Kennesaw. We purchased a 2023 Hyundai Palisade from this dealership on Fr I would seriously think twice before buying a vehicle from Hyundai of Kennesaw. We purchased a 2023 Hyundai Palisade from this dealership on Friday. We drove it home, and when we closed the door, the metal trim at the bottom of the door literally fell off. We had owned the vehicle for only a few hours. I immediately called our salesperson. I texted our salesperson. I called the shop. I left a message for the service department. I did everything you would reasonably expect a customer to do when a problem occurs immediately after purchasing a vehicle. And what happened? Nothing. We waited through Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Today is Tuesday, and we finally received a call back from the dealership — only to be told that THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT. Seriously? We had the vehicle for less than 24 hours when this happened. We also purchased their extended/special warranty coverage, yet somehow the dealership has absolutely no interest in standing behind the vehicle they just sold us. This isn’t about expecting a dealership to fix every little thing that ever goes wrong with a used vehicle. Things happen with used cars. We understand that. This happened IMMEDIATELY after the sale. The fact that a piece of the vehicle literally fell off the first time we closed the door after bringing it home should have been enough for this dealership to say, “We’re sorry. Bring it back and let’s take care of it.” Instead, we got poor communication, unanswered calls and messages, a delayed response, and ultimately a “not our problem” attitude. Apparently, once they have your money, you’re on your own. That is not what I consider customer service, and it certainly isn’t how a reputable dealership should treat someone who just spent thousands of dollars purchasing a vehicle from them. The sales process was good enough when they wanted our business. Unfortunately, their attitude changed very quickly once the paperwork was signed and they had our money. I cannot recommend Hyundai of Kennesaw based on this experience. In fact, I would caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from them to find out exactly what they will and will NOT stand behind before handing over your money. A dealership’s true character isn’t shown when everything goes perfectly. It’s shown when something goes wrong. Hyundai of Kennesaw had the easiest opportunity imaginable to make this right. They chose not to. Very disappointing. Very poor customer service. And absolutely unacceptable for a vehicle we had owned for only a matter of hours. More
