Great car lot, Sakesman Ammar Salemm is definitely your best asset. My go to dealership!!!!!
Had a great experience with Akeem and the team at Hyundai of Kennesaw. Akeem was extremely knowledgeable about the various vehicles we looked at - which isn’t common these days. Great buying experience.
Matt McCoy, Service Advisor, provided me service that was above and beyond. I filled my 2023 Hyundai Tucson with gas early evening on April 29th and I always check the Fuel Door Lid Cap to see if it opens after I close it. I couldn't open the Fuel Door Lid Cap and therefore, I could not fill it up again with gas. I did some research on google and discovered it was probably a bad fuel door actuator. I called Hyundai the next morning on April 30th to see if I could get an appointment and the person who answered the phone said the next available appointment was May 14th. I was concerned I would run out of gas and needed to make several commitments that required putting many miles on my car. I decided to drive to the Service department and talked to Matt McCoy, Service Advisor and explained my situation. He was extremely helpful and said hold on and let me see if we have the actuator part on hand. He went to parts and came back with an actuator for my car. Two hours later, it was installed and my Fuel Door Lid Cap could easily be opened again. I want to commend Matt for going above and beyond his responsibilities to solve my situation and get the job done. I am an extremely satisfied customer and will always buy my cars from Hyundai of Kennesaw. They have the best Service Department in the Atlanta area.
Brought my car in for an OEM Check Engine light sensor. The car is under warranty so it had to be left for analysis. One month later I was advised that the vehicle wasn't consuming oil, and the issue was the NOX sensor which would cost me $750+ to repair, now keep in mind I have been paying for a rental for a month at this point because the dealership said they had no loaners. Well within seven days my oil was totally drained, and I had to refill it. Called the dealership and they told me to drop it off again and they could probably get to it in a few weeks. I asked for a loaner again and they said they couldn't accommodate my request. I was also advised that if I brought the car to a non-Hyundai certified mechanic it would void any warranties I had. Now as a side note my brother had his Santa Fe in at the same time with no loaner available and 3 weeks later they stated they fixed the recall issue, 2 day later the engine died. My family has owned Hyundai vehicles for over 20 years, and in a matter of a bit over one month and a horrific service department that trend has ended. Called Hyundai Corporate and registered a complaint there as well. This service department is under skilled and understaffed, not to mention dishonest. I am betting there are good dealerships out there, but this place is "use at your own risk". Final note is they don't take ownership of the damages caused by their incompetence, and their integrity is absolutely in question.
We bought our Sonata at Henderson Hyundai in Las Vegas, Nevada on 8/4/2018. We purchased it as a “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” vehicle.
The car had 48291 miles on it when we purchased the car. We purchased an additional bumper to bumper warranty and GAP insurance. We have ONLY ever had the car serviced at a Hyundai dealership and have taken it in for all recalls and TSB’s.
We moved to Georgia in May of 2023.
On October 30th, 2024 we were on a road trip through Tennessee and the engine seized. We were left stranded on the expressway on a cold, wet morning and had to get towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership. We made it to Grayson Hyundai in Knoxville Tennessee and they were very good to us. Even though they had a month and a half backlog to even get a diagnosis, Service Advisor Cody asked the manager to be allowed to get us a quick evaluation so we could make a decision. The mechanic came back and said the engine had “locked up hard” and this was a known recall issue for my make and model of car.
We rented a car to get back home and then rented a trailer to get the car from Tennessee to Georgia. We each had to take time off work to make the drive.
We trailered it to Hyundai of Kennesaw (big mistake) and had the misfortune to get Rachel as a service advisor. Rude, uncaring and unprofessional, Rachel would not easily return phone calls or emails and lied to us about our car being done.
It took a week for a diagnosis and then she said that because of “maintenance neglect” the car would not be approved for service.
We explained that we had always maintained the vehicle at a Hyundai dealership and have taken excellent care of the car and Rachel requested our service records.
We submitted these and waited again.
Rachel finally called back and said that because the previous owner didn’t maintain the car, we are being denied the recall. Apparently the vehicle didn’t have service from 9K to 28K and 28K to 48K.
We had to pay $208.00 in “diagnostic fees” and rent another trailer and take more time off to bring the car home. (They did say that if we wanted them to repair it, it would “only” be 8K.)We called Henderson Hyundai, where we bought the car, and spoke to Seth who gave us the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for our car and said that the previous maintenance shouldn’t matter in the least because: 1.) we bought the car “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” meaning that Hyundai itself says the car was sound when we bought it And 2.) the engine recall is not maintenance specific, meaning that it does not depend on service history. We were advised to try a different dealership.
We called Terry Reid Hyundai in Cartersville and spoke with Rafael who agreed with Seth and requested us to bring the car in asap.
We took more time off work and rented another trailer and brought it in to Terry Reid. After 2 days, Rafael called back and said that Hyundai of Kennesaw had put something in the computer that makes Hyundai hard-deny us and there is nothing that he can do. He says that if we hadn’t taken it to Hyundai of Kennesaw, he could probably have gotten it fixed, but because of whatever they have in the system, the car will never be fixed.
We feel this is outrageous. We now have to take more time off work, pay another $190.00 in “diagnostic fees” and rent another trailer. We did nothing wrong! We bought a car “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” from a Hyundai dealership. We bought an additional warranty. We have had the vehicle only serviced a Hyundai dealership. We wanted to keep this car for another 5-7 years. We do not have money for another car payment. We use this car for errands, store, road trips.. everything. Why can we not get a car with an active TSB and 2 recalls on the engine repaired?
We are going to get our car and then go to see our lawyer! Do not go to this place!
Towed in with brake problem, they had it for 4 days without looking at it. Emergencies should come from first, if they can drive they can wait.
They took nothing apart and guessed that I need $3000 brake work. Towed it home and found that most of the parts they said I desperately needed were just fine. I paid $200 diagnostic fee and $150 tow, waited 4 days for them to do noting! And they got the wrong answer!
