Me and my wife decided to go into O'Brien to take advantage of a long overdue free car wash and to also congratulate Rex on his promotion. We never got the car wash. We did leave with a new Sonata. Since Rex was promoted, he had Doug show us a few cars and told him to just show us the cars and not to try to pressure us into anything. We drove a few cars before my wife decided she wanted to replace her current Elantra with a new one. We went back inside to tell Rex that we made up our mind and he told us that he wanted us to drive a Sonata. He said he could put us in one for just about the same price. So we did as he said, and my wife loved it just like he said she would. This was our first time working with Doug, but was our third purchase from Rex. Doug was a great salesperson and an amazing artist. While we were waiting on paperwork he showed us some of his sketches and chalk drawings. As I said, Doug was a great salesperson, but our loyalties are with Rex. We waited around almost all day to have him do our paperwork and it was well worth the wait. He always takes care of us and is now a very busy guy. He helped me out and got me a good rate on my Elantra when my old Saab was about to die. He also helped me track down my Veloster when the time came to trade in my Passat. A lot of people say you can't trust a car salesman. They just want your money and they don't care what they have to do to get it. That is not the case with Rex. Not only did I gain a salesperson I can trust, but I honestly believe I gained a friend. I can go in and know that I'm going to get the best deal possible and have fun doing it. How many people can say they have fun buying a car? Yeah its exciting to get a new car, but buying a new car is nerve racking. Not with Rex. He doesn't try to talk you into anything. He tells you what your options are. He wants whats best for his customers. I unfortunately had a bad experience with another salesman at another dealership that Rex had to help me with. By the time this guy was done "trying to get me approved" my credit score had dropped 55 points. Rex was pulling out his hair trying to get me into the Veloster. But he did it. He truly can make miracles happen. Rex is a great salesman. If you decide to take my advice and buy from him I strongly suggest you make an appointment. Like I said before, he is a very bust guy now. Living in Punta Gorda I went to Palm (open house) on Friday to purchase a new car (trading my 2009 Santa Fe Limited). The price was high so I went on the internet & saw O'Brien,got a call from Ron Eck w Friday to purchase a new car (trading my 2009 Santa Fe Limited). The price was high so I went on the internet & saw O'Brien,got a call from Ron Eck within a couple of minutes, he said come on down I'm sure we can make a deal. I went on Saturday , they had what I wanted & at a great price. Went back on Sunday with my wife (she picked out the color) & drove home with my new Santa Fe Limited that day. Thanks to Ron & Jim (the guy with the eye patch)for making the purchase a pleasurable experience. We'll deal with O'Brien again when we buy our next car. !!!! More
Everytime I go in to the dealership, I am alway greated with fairness and frindliness. They are far superior as far as service goes. The vehicle we drive is our 2nd Santa Fe and if we ever need another it will be a Santa Fe. Any time service is needed I just call pick my time and it seems like we drive is our 2nd Santa Fe and if we ever need another it will be a Santa Fe. I was very nervous to make an appointment with a dealer to have my AC looked at. I was so nervous that I had not taken it in for 2 years... I just lived with the Florida heat! Well, finally, I couldn't t to have my AC looked at. I was so nervous that I had not taken it in for 2 years... I just lived with the Florida heat! Well, finally, I couldn't take it anymore and I made called Ft. Myers Mitsubishi. Pete Followell (Service Advisor) picked up the phone and started asking me questions. Since I had never been to this dealer before he quickly created a new account for me in the computer. I told him I had a 1995 Eclipse GSX that had been completely modified. I told him that I am the guy who did all of the wrench work and was worried about letting somebody else drive it, monkey with it... He laughed and told me that he has just the mechanic for me. Turns out this mechanic is not just some ordinary mechanic... He is a master / genius! His name is Nick Clemens... and when I first saw him... I knew I could trust this guy. I was able to help him understand exactly what I thought was wrong with the car and he went through it with a fine tooth comb! He is different... and the best part is, they can work on any car.. not just Mitsubishi or Subaru. I was so relieved... I finally found a GREAT mechanic here in Florida. After working with him yesterday... I felt so good, I could trust him with my first born! While he was working on my car, I decided to go see what is new in the world of Mitsubishi and that is when I met Randy Cox. Talk about no pressure... he was more of a friend than anything! He said... come on.... lets go see some cool cars! So I did, he is very very knowledgeable about their product. They sell Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Hyundai! He kept telling me that he doesn't know a whole lot about some of the models... but he was able to answer ALL of my questions! He is very modest to say the least! These guys are a CLASS ACT! I am so HAPPY that I finally called and made that appointment! I hope Nick will be my mechanic forever! I know there are a lot of people out there that are afraid of being ripped off by a dealer... I am definitely one of those people... but I am now so relieved that I can take my cars to a place that I feel so comfortable. Pete, Nick, and Randy all deserve a HUGE pat on the back! They made O'Brien Mitsubishi / Subaru look so good! I would definitely buy a car from this place! More
