Saw a 2021 Santa Cruz on the internet. I asked about the color and it was what I wanted. I asked what was the price and was told 41,900. On September 9, 2021, I purchased a brand new 2022 White Hyundai Sonata Sel Plus. My initial interaction with the employees at this dealership was great. This includes the purchase of my vehicle. Before I left the dealership with my vehicle, I told my salesman that my fuel gauge was not on full; therefore, he took it to top it off. He should have also checked my fuel gauge to ensure it was on full because then he would have, hopefully, noticed something wasn't right and had my vehicle checked before I left. I did not notice that the fuel gauge wasn't on full immediately. Plus I had no reason to check it because the salesman had just taken it to top it off; I guess I was too trusting. When I noticed the fuel gauge was still not on full I didn't go back because it was just gas, so I thought. Plus, I was trying to get back to Miami. I will make my long, stressful and aggravating experience brief by just telling what a wonderful Hyundai service department in Miami had to do to find the fuel gauge problem. After one week and a half with my car, they finally had to call the Hyundai company. This is when they discovered that parts inside the fuel assembly were broken; therefore, everything gas related wasn't working. The entire fuel assembly had to be replaced. Remember this is a brand new 2022 Hyundai Sonata Sel Plus. Thank God for my Miami Hyundai service manager and department. They took great care of my needs during this agonizing period. Fast forward to today, October 23, 2021. I contacted Hyundai of Ft. Myers on Colonial regarding my contract not being on the USB given to me by Fabio in finance during the closing. After calling about four times to reach Fabio, he called, but I missed his call. He therefore left a message saying my contract is on the USB he gave me, and I can print it, but he would email it to me on Monday. At this point I'm furious because my purchase contract is not on the USB so now I'm thinking who is he telling this lie to. I therefore called the dealership again to speak with Fabio and could hear in the tone of the receptionist, Diana's voice that she was irritated with me continuously calling. This is the short version. Fabio called me back and repeated the lie, but I corrected him. I told him I needed my contract emailed to me today. He was very professional and supposedly wrote down my email and said he would email my contract before he left work Around 6:28 p.m. I missed a call; it was from the receptionist, Diana. She left a message saying Fabio asked her to call me and get my email address because he misplaced it. Now this is the reason I said he supposedly wrote down my email before, but by the time I saw the missed call and listened to the message it was after 8:00 p.m.; the dealership closes at 8:00 p.m. If emailing my financial contract was important to Fabio and really wanted to send it today, the dealership has all my contact information. FYI, I was not going to post the incident involving my fuel gauge because my wonderful Miami Hyundai Service Department fixed the problem, but Hyundai of Ft. Myers reignited my anger from when I was told there were broke parts inside of the fuel assembly on my brand new 2022 Hyundai Sonata Sel Plus. More
