My daughter and I purchased a used Santa Fe vehicle from this dealership on May 31, 2024. The vehicle had 4,500 miles on it and was a certified used vehicle. During the test drive we noticed the windshiel this dealership on May 31, 2024. The vehicle had 4,500 miles on it and was a certified used vehicle. During the test drive we noticed the windshield had a ding in it (from a rock perhaps). The ding had begun to spread out into four or five spiderweb cracks. We pointed this out to our salesperson and his manager. We were told this would not be a problem and the windshield would be replaced at no charge. This was on a Friday. We were told the windshield could be replaced the next week and we would be contacted then for an appointment to bring it in for repair. Long story short it is now June 12, almost two weeks later, and that promised windshield repair has not been scheduled to date. Several excuses made by several different individuals in both sales and service departments without any result. First told didn't need total replacement and repair could be done with resin, but the person who would do this repair was not there. Later told windshield needed replacing and would have to be ordered. Would call when it came in. No call as yet. A typical windshield replacement at any auto repair shop in Columbia can be done in a day. The windshield is ordered, comes in the next day, and the repair is made. By any stretch of the imagination, it should not take twelve days and nothing to show toward a replacement. Not sure why Hyundai of Columbia is dragging their feet on this windshield repair, but it brings into question their promises and fulfillment to us as customers. Disappointed with their effort to fulfill their promise to us. New windshield installed June 17th by come to your home business. More
