Recently was working with the sales staff at Hyper Car to make a purchase on a vehicle and took the steps to ensure proper appraisal of my vehicle, as I was doing a trade, and setting up a PPI for the (new to me) vehicle I was purchasing. Over a week and a half of this process, 2 days prior to the PPI, Katie calls and advises that another customer had put a deposit on the vehicle I was purchasing, and I was now out. Mind you, over this entire process and discussion with her I was not advised that this would be a possibility to "lose" this car to another customer as we had arranged all of these steps for PPI and such due to a deposit. This should have been prevented or advised of the possibility that this could happen if a deposit wasn’t taken. I asked to speak with the owner, due to the smaller size of this dealer and understanding that they work in a high-end capacity and that reviews and reputation in a business like this are paramount. I was brushed off and provided with a he's unavailable and "doesn't make outbound calls" to customers as an excuse. This could have been rectified. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was my loss, I guess. But at least I found out about their lack of integrity before it could have been too late. More
