Dont know what a torque wrench is used for. On 09/27/2023 I took car in to have oil changed and tires rotated plus had concerns about shake on braking at the time had 98256 miles and driven lit On 09/27/2023 I took car in to have oil changed and tires rotated plus had concerns about shake on braking at the time had 98256 miles and driven little, Now has 104233 miles and decided to change rotors as recommended. The last to have tires off was the dealership using a 940nm impact and deep 21mm socket would could not break the lug nuts loose. Had to take a 2 ft breaker bar and jump up and down on it to get the nuts loose had I been on side road would have to have someone come change the tire because factory lug wrench would not have broken the nuts loose. After getting wheels off the little screws on the rotor were loose and pushed against the rim imprint on back of rim from this. I changed the rotors but now wonder if it was from the loose screws. The rims torque at 100nm not 1000+ nm. Its bad when seen Walmart use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts and there is no way dealship used a torque wrench. Had service done little over week ago and was thinking of getting new tires but not if they are going to impact drive the lug nuts on like that, would expect better from dealership. Since time of oil change and tire rotation did notice new office help but unsure about shop help but know there is no way I could have done a simple tire change on side of road. More
