Joe is the man! Joe is the real deal. I understand how skeptical it can be in regards to dealing with a salesman. But let me tell you, Joe is more than a salesman. H Joe is the real deal. Big Joe and H&E Crushed the Big Boys! Before I tell my story I just want to Say that Big Joe is amazing and I consider myself lucky to have worked with him. My day started with a 1.5 h Before I tell my story I just want to Say that Big Joe is amazing and I consider myself lucky to have worked with him. My day started with a 1.5 hour drive to the Auto Mile to look at some Honda Pilots at Big dealerships. At each one I was Cattle Prodded through their "process". No fun! Then a GREAT deal on a 2015 Pilot popped up on CarGurus. It was 20 miles away and at a used car dealer called Huggard & Ewing - wearily I left the big dealers and went to take a look - so glad I did! I met Big Joe right at the front door. Told him what I was there to see and he let me know it had just come in and was yet to be serviced for sale - they service all the cars before sale and Chris in service is super thoughrough. It turns out the car was three miles away and without knowing ANYHTING about me or my finances (and without trying to convince me to look at other cars on the lot) Big Joe grabbed the keys to a Lincoln and said "jump in, let's go see that truck". Joe and I wandered around and inspected the Pilot in the pouring rain then I took it for a drive, the truck was great and I put down a deposit with plans to pick it up 3 days later before a 10 day driving vacation. Joe and I also connected on a personal front as we determined during our drive our families have some mutual friends. The day before pick up I got a call from Joe who was concerned that when in Drive the differential lock feature (full time 4wd vs AWD) was not kicking in and he didn't want me to take the car until it was figured out. So, still under warranty it was off to Honda. I was leaving for 10 days the following day and expressed concern to Joe about the timing and deposit. He said "enjoy your vacation, the Pilot will be here when you get back, if you don't want it then you get your deposit back." It turned out that the differential was JUST FINE, Joe And I did not know it had to be in D2 verses Drive to kick in (basically only to be used if your stuck and need the low gear power and traction). Ok, we learned something and it was operator error :) The amazing thing is that Joe and H&E management held that perfectly ready (and incredibly priced) truck on the lot nearly 2 weeks until I returned! Not many (if any) used car dealerships would do that! Big Joe is honest, trustworthy, and truly a customer advocate - something that is hard to find in any profession! The rest of the team did great work on the vehicle and made sure EVERYTHING was great the day I arrived, Thanks to Chris and the whole H&E team. This is probably the third review I have ever written, but the team there deserves the props! More

The selection of preowned pickup trucks is great. This purchase is my family's second from this dealership and won't be the last. More
Friendly, Patient and Honest Big Joe is the best! This is just 2nd time purchasing my own car, the first time I went through another dealer and my experience with Joe and everyone Big Joe is the best! This is just 2nd time purchasing my own car, the first time I went through another dealer and my experience with Joe and everyone at Huggard and Ewing was 1,000 times better! Joe was very patient with me and answered all my questions putting my mind at ease with a big purchase. He was honest helped guide me to best Jeep and deal that was right for me. He didn't see me as just another sale but wanted to make sure I was going to be happy for years to come. Additionally he went above and beyond, as after leaving in my new car I realized I forgot some items in my trade in. After emailing him that night he texted me back first thing in the morning with pictiure of all my stuff and he held it for me until I coukd get there to pick it up. Susan was also very honest and realizing my car was still under factory warranty she took the extended warranty off as it was not needed. These folks really care and arent looking to just nickle and dime you. I highly recommend any looking for good quality used cars and top notch customer service go see Joe at Huggard and Ewing More

It has all the qualities and services that a big corporate dealershipl has. All the extra services including, but not limited to; detailing, rmv services, top quality cars, solid reputation and success rate with the banks, Big Joe even started me off by going down the street and getting me a full tank of gas... That last part leads to the personal, family side of their dealership. It isn't so large and corporate that the customer is forgotten and pushed aside. Larger dealerships will treat everyone as potential dollar signs. This place caters to each individuals specific needs, and gets on a personal level to find out their situation, what the options are for them, and to go even deeper... When there are no options and shouldn't be any they fight hard to get some doors to open up for you.. My story starts with a long 3 year and 10 month suspended license.. In 2013 my cadillac cts was reposessed, my license suspended. Thousands of dollars in fees and penalties. The last 6 months I've worked very hard to get all of that back. But because of it all my credit is not the best, and that's being generous. I believe in miricales and believe in God. Don't let that scare you, to each his own. Friday October 6th, 2017 i woke knowing i was going to look for a car praying i left with one that day.. I didn't think that was a reasonable expectation though.. But i found H&E online and called up.. First off the lady that answers the phones, Jill was very nice and knew exactly where to direct not to mention they answered the phone 30 minutes before they opened and in my eyes that's a key sign of huge commitment to the customer. After talking with Jill i was directed to Joe "Big Joe" O'Donnell and my miracle on a friday in October started. This guy is not only good at what he does.. He's passionate. And he cares. It's not just dollar signs. He's been in a lot of shoes of the people who he comes across day to day. And he doesn't forget where he came from.. With that said the similarities with me and him where ridiculous, no coinsidences. That's why i mentioned God and that i prayed.. Because i asked for guidance and help and immediately met Joe. Our stories are very similar. And if you read this and get the chance. Ask Joe about the kid from southie's story i give Joe permission to tell all. So the signs where there. I came by shortly after and met Joe face to face.. Shortly after i met Susan, the financial worker. And let me tell you, there is nothing Joe and Susan can't do together. I sat with Susan and let her know who i was and my situation. She was honest and upfront. Which is a better quality than selling me a pipe dream, all along Joe's confidence never wavered.. And to me thats not because he's fake and trying to keep you hooked.. His confidence never wavered even when things didnt look good because of one simple reason in my mind... He truly believes and truly strives to get done whatever needs to be done to get you the perfect car within the perfect limitations again within the perfect time frame. I want to say hes like a pitbull and doesn't give up but people associate bad with pitbulls and there's nothing bad about Joe and his passion & determination.. They are amazing people and perfect for what they do.. I watched a young kid and his mother come in (I was there all day yes lol I felt like it was take your son to work day sitting in the corner spinning on a computer chair watching everything) but they came in with an attitude and demanding.. And still Joe, Susan, Jill and the rest of the team handled it with upmost respect and care. But my point is i came in and got personal and real with everyone. And they felt me. They fought for me. The won with me. Thats what they do. They make miricales everyday and they get with you on your level like real people. Susan fought first to even get me approved, which was a miricale in itself because i had no business leaving that day with any vehicle. She got me approved with a co-signer and remember i probably didn't deserve any deal nevermind better deals. She got me a 20% interest rate and a 400$ a month payment on a 2012 Ford Escape which i now am paying to own. I was happy enough with that because i would have been grateful for anything.. And her job was technically done there. But before she even told me about that deal she fought harder when she could of just moved on to the next customer. The end result went FROM 20% INTEREST TO 5% INTEREST.. MONTHLY PAYMENT WENT FROM 400$ TO 200$ A MONTH. Try and wrap your mind around why she would continue fighting for someone she doesn't know, even though that's her occupation.. She did her job with the first deal. And i didn't even mention the warranty on tires and fender benders (100$ deductible only) Enough said about the loan i received. I think everyone can make their own opinions on how great Joe and Susan are. I do want to add all the while during Susan making the loan work.. Joe was on stand by with an insuranve policy for me lined up, ready to go so I had enough time to drive off that lot.. 10 am until 5 pm Friday the Huggard & Ewing team fought for me to make that miricale happen.. Even with my history, even with my poor credit, even with my doubts, and over every obstacle. It almost looked like they opened Friday the 6th just for me, Justin. But that's false. Because i watched them take care of a dozen people in the meantime. There's more to this story and it goes much deeper. And i hope anyone who reads this is touched and moved by what they did for me. And i hope you all go find out what they can do for you. If it sounds like im selling them and a spokesperson for H&E ill tell you.. Im not being paid for this, i get nothing from this but to share their hard work and my success story. But in my own right, yes Im selling them right now.. Becsuse they deserve it. Im doing it on my own will to tell everyone how amazing they are. And even though you don't know me as a person.. I'll tell you one thing about me, I only fight for things that i passionately believe deserve the recognition.. Because I believe cheap and false recognitions only feed ego and negativity. This review is deserved. My experience and sale with them was earned by them. My respect for them was earned, & I'm forever grateful. Because i have two young kids who are proud of their dad today and love his truck. And who can rely on daddy and know he'll be there for them any time and anywhere, for anything. I don't have go take the commuter rail from canton to South Boston to get to them. I am 100% relied on by my boss now because he knows i can get from canton to middleborough for 7 am. Or canton to north attleboro or anywhere in between. My set of keys start with my old cadillac's spare key to remind me what I've lost, next is the key to my bike lock that I've been riding for a few years now, then it's a key to the front door of a place i call home today, finally the keys to my brand new (new to me) 2012 Ford Escape. And Huggard and Ewing are on my keychain and in my heart. A memory that will forever stick. Part of my journey. And they don't know fully how much they really helped me. Thank you Joe, thank you Susan, thank you Jill, also a big thank you to Carol in administration who personally came downstairs gave her attention to my sale only and took the time to make sure it got done with the little time we had left and thank you to everyone else at H&E. Big Joe made it all happen. I was standing at a dealership in Worcester and going through yet another debacle with some snide and obnoxious salesman. I looked on cars.com and another car that I was interested popped up. I excused myself and went outside and called Huggard & Ewing who had the car. Big Joe got on the phone. Within two minutes of talking to Joe, I walked off that dealership’s lot and drove the 1.5 hours to H&E. This was a guy I could work with. From the moment we met I knew I had someone working with me to help me make the right decision and not just sell a car. Consultative, empathetic and direct. Joe answered every question. Overcame every objection. Listened intently to my circumstances and then put me at ease with the process from start to finish. I’ve been in sales my entire life and I’ve seen and worked with every type of salesman. Joe is the type of guy that has success because of the one thing that so many car dealers lack: integrity. He is upfront and honest and isn’t going to tell you anything that isn’t 100% true. His commitment to doing things right was obviously there from the moment I heard his voice on the phone st that other car lot. You are really lucky if you get a chance to buy a car from Big Joe.
