Besides Corey in the service department and the former General Manager, every single part of this dealership and service center displays levels of ineptitude I’ve never seen before. Purchasing a car h General Manager, every single part of this dealership and service center displays levels of ineptitude I’ve never seen before. Purchasing a car here in 2021 was a nightmare from day 1, when they sold me a used Civic with a dead battery, charged it just enough to get me home, and then tried to blame me for it when it wouldn’t start that night. Throw in a few other headaches (including being berated by the Used Car Sales Manager in the middle of the showroom), and it took the GM at the time stepping in to stop me from returning the Civic altogether. He acknowledged that they were at fault all along and made a great effort to get the car into proper shape so I was willing to squash my problems for the time being. I moved out of state for the next 3 years and brought the car back for service upon returning to CT. I figured enough time had passed, a new GM had taken the reigns, and hopefully they had improved their service in between. Luckily for me, they got worse. All I wanted to do was get my rim rash repaired since they sold me a tire policy with the car that would take care of it. What followed was 2 months worth of headaches and frustrated emails/calls that were never answered, as many others in these reviews have said. With the first appointment, the car sat there for a week before I was told to pick it back up again because they couldn’t do the service. That was after I wasted hours getting rides to and from the dealership with no help from them, since I now live in Southwest CT. After the initial mess up, they then called me and asked for the chance to “make it right,” only to leave me once again without a car or a loaner for over a week. More hours wasted going back and forth. When I finally received my car back, it was filthy and still had snow on it from spending a week and a half outside. They parked it with the sun hitting the passenger side, so it wasn’t until I got the car washed and home that I saw the brand new scratches on the drivers’ side. They offered to buff it out, so long as I drive another 2 hour round trip to get it done. Checks out. This is not a reputable business by any stretch of the imagination and should be avoided entirely. I highly recommend that if you are having issues with this dealership, call American Honda and they can open a case. Jon, the current GM, was apparently out of town for weeks “on a meeting” that kept him from returning a single email or call, so don’t expect to get any progress from him. It’s a shame because I like my Civic, but I never want to be a Honda owner again. More
Let me start this review with honesty, me and my wife overpaid for our new 2025 Honda pilot. It's our fault, they got us and we will be paying for that mistake,(literally). But this review is not about m overpaid for our new 2025 Honda pilot. It's our fault, they got us and we will be paying for that mistake,(literally). But this review is not about me, it's about the character of the people you will be interacting with at this dealership. I will not be using names because while I'm angry, my goal with writing this is not retribution. It's a warning. It's to paint a picture of the unfortunate landscape of car buying in America. And this dealership plays a role in the degradation of trust in car dealers. If you are like me and my wife your are in the market for a bigger vehicle trying to accommodate your growing family. We have been emailing other honda dealerships for quotes on prices and none seemed to budge. We were going to settle for the Chevrolet traverse, but I have a soft spot for Honda's , nothing but good experiences, and didn't want to give up. So me and my wife on our 1 day off together drove up to the Watertown area to look at a traverse, wife loved it, price was right. My wife agreed to go look at the pilot again and see if we can get a deal if we go physically to the dealership. This is how we ended up at Honda of Watertown. We test drive, love it ,price is too high. The salesperson asks what he can do I show him the quote from Chevy and he comes back to me with an offer that matches the Chevy monthly payment and term. This is my first mistake, I get excited and agree. Blood in the water for these folks. The whole atmosphere changed and it became a rush to get my down payment. This is where I'm still not sure what I could have done, maybe I should have asked to see the final numbers before I gave the down payment, idk. I thought what they showed me was the final numbers, but it wasn't. At this point my antsy 7 month old and wife are growing impatient, we tried to leave a couple of times but where kept being told a few more minutes. About 2-3 hours later we end up in the finance office. This is where the real games start. They show me all these different tiered warranties packages, all of which shoot the monthly payment up to 1000 dollars a month. We get a 20 minute speal about why we should pick the top tier package. This entire interaction seemed like it was trying to get me on my back foot with ridiculously high monthly payments so I would just accept the lowest tier which was the closest to the agreed upon monthly payment. So I picked the lowest possible one and the payment ends up being $30 more a month than what I agreed to. At this point I don't know what to do, I already gave them a down payment, my wife and kid are hungry after being in the building so long we need to pick up are older kids from after school, so instead of questioning it, I end up "signing". Second mistake. At this point they finally had some motivation to move, there was no paper contract for me to look over, it was all digital on a tablet and you could not look at the entirety of the form without scrolling and they had this clever system that just signs for you with 1 click. And the documents where on a thumb drive that I wasn't able to access until I got home and see how much they screwed us over. Most of you reading this will say I am an idiot, and I agree. But this review is for all those families out there who don't have a lot of time, wife is hungry and running on coffee, kids that are always rushing you. Be careful with this place... The new car seems great on the surface and the kids loved it when they saw it for the first time, and where super excited for all the new space. Unfortunately instead of being excited and joyful about having a new car, we are filled with doubt and left feelings ashamed of ourselves because of the experience we had at Honda of Watertown. More

Horrible place to buy a used car. They will jerk you around instead of fixing it and then try to blame normal wear and tear. When I bought the car less than a freaking year ago. In 2023 Ridgeline purchased new from Honda of Watertown. So I make an appointment for the next week, (miss work) and ask for Tod when I arrive. When I arrive, Tod tells me the job is going to take at least 3 hrs and to come back at 5pm (my apt was at 2) so I go for a long walk with my wife. One hour later Tod calls me and says they don't have the wiring harness in stock! Say what? So after walking back 30 min to the dealer and getting my keys back from Tod, he tells me "have a great day" and their policy is not to give out loaner cars even if they do get the part in and can schedule at a later date. Funny how the sales guy stated after putting down $54,000 for a Honda in 2023, how their service center would be giving me a loaner if any issues arose with my new ride. They also told me back in 2023 that my first 3 oil changes were free. Well, that was also a big fight with the service department every time I brought the truck in for my "FREE" oil changes. Here is more from this dealer from the past: When I purchased the Ridgeline in 2023 I did not finance it, I traded in a 2018 Ridgeline and paid the balance cash. After all the money transactions were complete, accessories ordered for a later install; and I had the truck for 3 days, I get an email and call from the dealer stating they made a money mistake and I owed them another $1,000.00. Of course I just blew them off and emailed my response. Days later the 1600.00 worth of accessories (I already paid for) arrived and they called me to get the parts installed. When I arrived the service dept told me they would not install until I paid them $1000.00. They held my accessories hostage until I paid. I told them to go pound sand and cancelled the accessories and wanted my money back. Of course they deducted the $1000.00 from the check they wrote. So they screwed me a grand and it was up to me to bring them to small claims court. I almost did out of principal, but decided it was not worth the time, headache and lost wages to peruse. Bottom line, don't trust this dealer More
