I came to this dealer to diagnose an engine check light. My Honda manual said it indicated a problem with the gas cap. The dealer service rep said "oh no, it could be many other things, so we can do a multi My Honda manual said it indicated a problem with the gas cap. The dealer service rep said "oh no, it could be many other things, so we can do a multi-point check, which you can apply toward any work that is needed". Ok, fine. Nothing was mentioned as to how long this might take. Had I known it would take the rest of the afternoon, I would have rescheduled. I heard nothing for more than 2 hours, when the rep finally told me "It's probably the gas cap, but we're out of them". I asked "if it turns out not to be the gas cap, what's the next most likely cause?" The rep said that info was 'in the tree', which they see when diagnostic equipment is connected to the car". I'm thinking, isn't that what we spent the last 2+ hrs doing? It took another half hour to wrap up the work, then the rep told me it was ready. When I walked to her desk to pay, she said she was still waiting for the paperwork. In the end, after a 2 hr and 45 wait, the dealership had concluded it was "probably the gas cap" (as the manual had said in the first place), and I had no better idea of what the cause could be. The rep said the gas cap seal was probably bad, but it appeared in perfect condition. Since the diagnostic fee could be applied to fixing things in the inspection report, I decided to fix the bad CV joint, which was listed at $190.00. I called in and a rep said that would be fine. When I went in to schedule the work, she said the price was wrong, and that it was really $445 plus tax. Because that too was unexpected, I said, then let's replace the transmission fluid since it was also listed as an issue. But the rep said I could only apply the diagnostic fee to a repair, and not maintenance, something that hadn't been made clear before. Ok, fair enough, but at that point, I wasn't interested in any more surprises. I will probably get some of the recommended work done by an independent shop. Based on this experience, the service was S-L-O-W, the rep didn't communicate well, and there were too many surprises. The waiting area is plastered with awards for great service. Very disappointed. No incentive to return. My original Honda dealer was very good, no surprises. More
Nick and T-Mac did a great job. I am really happy with the Jeep. The fact that they inspect and fix what needs to be fixed prior to selling makes for a much better used car experience.. I purchased my Honda Accord in 2007 from Honda of Slidell. I knew I wanted a Honda because I have had Honda vehicles most of my life and I love the quality of the vehicle. Since 2007 Honda of Slide Slidell. I knew I wanted a Honda because I have had Honda vehicles most of my life and I love the quality of the vehicle. Since 2007 Honda of Slidell has provided me with the most utmost of care for me and my vehicle. The employees at Honda of Slidell are always courteous, polite, friendly, and professional. They genuinely care about the service you receive. Fortunately, I have not had to have many repairs to my vehicle, only necessary up-keeps such as oil changes, transmission fluid, brake pads, cabin filter changes, Timing Belt, engine air filter, etc. When needed, Ken Lobert, Charity Phillips, James Lecompt, and Tony Lusich are some of the individuals who were always there to care for both me and my vehicle. Complimentary bottled water, fresh baked cookies and popcorn are offered in the showroom if one chooses to wait for their vehicle repair. This perk is one of my daughters favorites! While waiting, one can do so in the comfort of a lounge area with television. There is also a "Play area" for little children. From the moment you step in at Honda of Slidell you are greeted with a Handshake and a Smile. Another item to mention about Honda of Slidell is that they give you a follow up call on the services received. This follow up call shows me that they care about my satisfaction of service received, and that they remember me! I was not just another face in the many that they see in a day! Honda of Slidell provides consistent performance of service in a way that meets all of my expectations. They go above-and-beyond customer service expectations! I will keep coming back, and will continue to refer my friends to Honda of Slidell! Thanks again Ken, Charity, James, Tony and employees of Honda of Slidell for a job well done! The cars on their lot are highly inspected and Honda makes sure to release any needed info. I am still madly in love with my Acura. This is the first car I've bought on my own, and at the young age of 20. I am so glad I chose Honda of Slidell. My salesman was very knowledgeable and 100% honest about the cars I selected to view. I am also VERY glad I opted in for their warranty program! I've used the Roadside assistance included with the warranty very often (I always tend to lock my keys in the car) and it's covered! As an inexperienced car buyer, they took me seriously and worked with me to make sure I could drive off THAT DAY in my car... and I did! Honda still stays in touch with me 4 years later with e-mails reminding to get my car checked and coupons in the mail. Anytime I've ever called with questions, they are promptly answered. If I ever decide to get another car, I will only go to Honda of Slidell. More

Everyone I encountered at Honda of Slidell treated me as family, not like they were trying to get me to buy something and get out the door. I visited multiple times and was never pressured to purchase anyt family, not like they were trying to get me to buy something and get out the door. I visited multiple times and was never pressured to purchase anything; they simply answered my questions and compared the models I was trying to choose between. In the end, I purchased a CRV and was pleased that they were able to find exactly what I wanted even though it wasn't on the lot. I have been pleased with the ease of scheduling service and the free oil changes as part of the free service package they include in the purchase of a new vehicle. I am a loyal customer for life!
