We were shopping for a used Honda and Carlos helped us out. He was knowledgeable, professional and efficient from start to finish. I went to the dealership because I saw a 6.5% interest rate advertised on their website. This was for the car I purchased, the amount I wanted to put down, and my credit score bracket. Once we decided on a car, the original paperwork showed a 9.9% interest rate. I explained that I came in assuming the 6.5% interest rate since my credit score came out in the top bracket. They were able to find me a rate at 8.5%, I pushed harder, and eventually they were able to find a rate of 7.9%. We had to buy a car (previous car was totaled and our rental days were running out) so I couldn’t walk away from the deal. One of the managers came out and explained to me that the deal was expired. He didn’t when when it had expired, he just knew that it was. He said they would take care of the issue so this wouldn’t happen to other people. This was a month ago, and the 6.5% interest rate is still being advertised on their website today. I made a big stink about it with the management, so either they don’t care enough to handle a clear problem, or they’re content to advertise falsely on their website to get people in the door, only to offer a far different rate once you’ve already decided on a car. Either way, I won’t be buying another car from this dealer. Unless of course they make this right by offering me the opportunity to refinance at 6.5%. More
