I test drove a car on Monday. Fell in love with it. I knew I was chancing it by waiting until Thursday to purchase it. As soon as they found out I was not trading in, and going across the street to Carmax to get $2k more than they were offering, Sean called me and said his boss had sold that car to Enterprise..but if I want to come back and look at something else I could. I have a 2015 Forrester purchased at this dealership and serviced there regularly. Recently I left it for oil change and overall check-up prior to a long trip this coming week. When I was told the car was ready, I picked it up - only to find that there was a potential major issue that was noted - so I had to go back. Before doing so I talked with Ted Nime, who is the dealership's director of operations. He verified with the technician that the problem needed to be addressed, told me to not worry about an appointment, got the work done (including having to remove/reinstall the transmission), and, much to my surprise, waived the customary charges as a goodwill gesture. THAT is how a dealership keeps happy customers. I don't give an "excellent" rating solely because the person calling me to say the car was ready ought to have read the report that said an additional hour was needed to check out a potential problem, as I'd left the car there for the day. More
Worst experience of our lives. Tried to buy a Subaru for our son and Paid cash. Some jack xxx named Mark Bates assured us that the dealership had title in hand and would courier the title the following day our son and Paid cash. It has been five weeks and they have yet to deliver a title. We are filing a complaint with both the investigative arm of the department of motor vehicles and the Attorney General in New Mexico. The quality of customer service that I received from Honda of Santa Fe has been excellent. I live far out in the country and need not only a reliable car, but also reliable maintenance. Several neighbors highly recommended this dealer even though it’s over an hour away. A month ago, I traded in my 2011 Toyota RAV4 for a 2017 Honda CRV and the difference in treatment with Honda vs the Toyota dealer was night and day. I’d give 10 stars if I could! I’d particularly like to mention my salesman Mark Bates and the business manager David Robey, Mark took the time to explain and then to program all my car settings. My trade in was fair and m purchase went smoothly. The customer service based model this dealer uses is unique - and it’s not only at the point of sale. I’ve had a few questions since my purchase and all have been answered quickly. Highest recommendation! More
