Dear Local Area Man, Thank you for sharing this with us. I spoke with several managers regarding your review. Gary Cole, one of the Sales Managers here at Honda North mailed you 4 caps from a vehicle in our showroom instead of ordering them and wasting time. I am unsure of why you did not receive them but they were mailed out. Eric Thorner, another Sales Manager spent his personal time to go to your house and drop off the exact caps from the same model, trim level and even color of your vehicle. Since those did not fit, Eric thought that the caps from your mountain bike may have left some particles of plastic on the thread creating a problem with the new caps that he dropped off to you. Without these caps there will not be any mechanical or safety issues with your vehicle. We recommend that when you bring your vehicle in for its first oil change that we have a technician look at the threading of the valve stem to make sure everything is working properly. There is no need to make a trip specifically for the caps. I apologize for the confusion and ongoing problem this has caused. I made it very clear that I was hung up on repeatedly. The first call the agent I spoke with clearly by his responses was annoyed that I was taking up his time with questions. He simply just hung up on me. Initially giving you the benefit of the doubt and thinking this could have been an accident, I called back, asked for sales through your operator, was on hold for four and a half minutes before the call was picked up and I was hung up on immediately again without the person picking up even saying anything. I called back and it happened once again. This was clearly no accident. Then I called and asked to speak to the G.M. Instead someone else contacted me and made excuses, not corrections. Now it seems like you are doing nothing but running damage control for yourself. You keep bringing up the the fact that I use an alias on my Google account, so what? You make it clear that it's not about the customer, it's about covering your butt. But this time you are dealing with someone who has a long history with the car industry (as my father and grand father both ran AAA and growing up in the Detroit suburb of Grosse Pointe, Lee Iacocca, Jimmy Hoffa, et al were all familiar faces at our home and my dad's country club) and whose family includes senators, corporate heads, and who has the contacts to bring this experience to the attention of the corporate heads of Honda.
