Overcharged Brought in my 2011 Honda CRV in to repair a faulty alarm. After a simple computer diagnosis it was determined that one of the door switch assemblies w Brought in my 2011 Honda CRV in to repair a faulty alarm. After a simple computer diagnosis it was determined that one of the door switch assemblies was bad (Honda Part# 300-S5A-013). This is a $10 part that takes only 5 minutes to remove and install in the door jamb. Honda of McKinney slapped my wife with a $300 charge to do this simple repair. This is on top of a $25 "service charge" just for driving in. I'll accept a nominal charge for the time to diagnose the problem which should be covered with that service charge even though most independent shops and parts stores will pull codes for free, but $300 to replace a $10 part that only takes 5-10 minutes to install is outrageous. More
