We are sorry that you are disappointed in your service experience. The warranty claim was denied by the factory due to engine aftermarket parts being installed on your vehicle. During the vehicles warranty period all repairs must be approved by the manufacturer. This one was denied due to the altercations made to the vehicle. Had car moved to a repair shop. They found that the valve was not bent, there is no valve float and the issue is not related to any modifications. The issue on cylinder 3 was in fact caused by Holmes Honda service during initial diagnostics of the engine in which a small piece of metal was introduced in the cylinder head and was caught between the valves. Had Holmes Honda checked the underside of the cylinder head, they would have seen the obstruction and discovered that the valves, head, etc. were not in fact damaged at all. Holmes Honda recommended replacing valves and cylinder head at a large customer expense and they did not even need replacing. They also claimed the rear pre-catalyctic converter needed to be replaced, but in fact it is not damaged at all either. So, basically the technician diagnosing the vehicle caused an issue that was not what the car was originally brought in for, while also misdiagnosing the issue. Terrible experience and is costing a long held relationship with Honda and Holmes Honda. I am open to a discussion and hopefully resolution prior to filing a lawsuit against Holmes Honda and American Honda.
