Our salesman, Marlin Anderson, met us with a smile. Just as important, he was knowledgeable about all the vehicles we asked about and drove. We were first-time Honda cumstomers last month when we decided to buy a new CRV. When the dealership then offered a clinc for new owners, we were even more impressed with the care Holmes gives its cumstomers. Our only not-great experience may have been unavoidable, but we spent a lot of time waiting - to talk to the finanical person, to do paperwork, to get the vehicle itself. Clearly the dealership was busy - a good thing - but we didn't expect so much time left alone to wait on processing. More

Here's my story, I bought a used 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid from Holmes 2 months ago and within the first week began experiencing problems. Various check engine lights and the IMA (Integrated Motor Assistance-electric part of car) came on. As you can imagine, I was not too happy that my newly purchased car was having problems. Come to find out, the hybrid batteries needed to be replaced ($3,000+) along with a relay switch ($600+). Luke and his staff along with Honda worked diligently with me even at times I was very frustrated with the situation. They put me first and were able to fix the problem at minimal cost to me! I can not tell you how much I appreciate their professionalism and commitment to standing behind what they sell! There is no doubt if I am in the market for another Honda vehicle this will be my first stop! Thank you!! More
I was looking for a new car that would get good gas mileage in the 35 to 40 MPG range. I had a 2003 Avalanche with 155,000 miles on it that I traded in on a new Honda Civic. My sales person was La Dari mileage in the 35 to 40 MPG range. I had a 2003 Avalanche with 155,000 miles on it that I traded in on a new Honda Civic. My sales person was La Darius Lamette. La Darius worked with me on getting the price I needed for my trade and what I neeed my payments to be. I have not bought a new Honda since 1982 and I hope they are still a high quality car. I have not used the Service Department yet so I cannot Comment on them. So far my sales expierence with Holmes Honda has been good. More
Went to test drive the 2011 Accord and my wife loved it. Zach Parnell was our Sales person and was very knowledgeable regarding the product. We started calling dealerships Tuesday evening through Wednesday looking for a good deal on a 2011 Odyssey EX model that we needed to buy on Thursday. The deal was "going down" somewhere due to Thursday being the only day this Month that we could both get off from work and a Disney Vacation that was starting at the end of the Month. Late Wednesday I told my wife that there were not many Odyssey EX's in Texas and that I was waiting on a call from a NE Texas dealer to try and locate one of my three color choices. This dealer found one but told me that it had around 600 dollars worth of add ons that I would have to pay for and he might not even have it ready by Thursday. I was becoming frustrated and was about to settle with the White EX that they had even though I did not want it when my wife told me she wanted to call the Honda dealership in Louisiana. I currently had three Houston dealers e-mailing me and calling me all stating that they might get an EX in a few weeks and I was also starting to settle for a color that I did not want so I told her to call them. She called me back and told me to be expecting a phone call from Colby who works for Holmes Honda and that he sounded nice and was very helpful. Colby called me and wanted to know when he could expect me and I thought it was kinda funny since I had not even told him the lower price that had just happened minutes before on the white EX. When I told him the price he countered 200 dollars cheaper and told me that he had three on the lot. We met him the next morning and I picked out the Mocha EX for the price he quoted and he threw in the dealer add on's that were currently on the vehicle. We received a fair price on our old EX odyssey and had no problems with thier finance department. Just last year we had a horrible experience with a Houston Honda dealer (finance department) when we bought a 2010 Honda Accord and we were very cautious about going to another large dealership. We came to Holmes Honda to purchase a new Civic. This only happened because Zach was not only knowledgeable regarding the different car models, but also willing to take the time to learn about our car needs and to educate us about these two car models. In addition, we found Zach, as well as others at Holmes Honda dealership to be very professional as well as courteous, helpful, friendly and easy to work with and we appreciated them no using any high pressure sales tactics to purchase a car until we were ready. All in all, we found the purchase of our new Honda to be a relatively pleasurable experience and would recommend Zach Parnell, as well as the Holmes Honda dealership, to others. More
My 2006 Nissan Quest was totaled in an accident on 3/9/11. We had to wait to purchase a vehicle after the insurance company paid the claim. We then found ourselves in a bind as they did not pay off the Quest. After waiting a couple of weeks we began the lengthy search for another vehicle. Because we had purchased a Nissan before and our other vehicle (a Truck) was a Nissan we started at the local nissan dealership. After going back and forth to them and other dealers we basically got no help at getting into another vehicle. They did not even tell us what we needed to do to get into another car. So we waited and ended up at Holmes Honda around the 10th of April. We drove over from West Monroe to Shreveport approx 90 miles and met a salesman by the name of Paul Bratlie. He showed us several vehicles and we picked out a 2006 Honda Odyssey (Red in color). We went into his office and he took our information and listened to our story. He then went to the finance manager and with 15-20 minutes came back to tell us the news. He told us they could help us but we had to meet some requirements and he listed them for us. He told us the deal was good until 5/2/11. We drove back to West Monroe dishearted but encouraged that we finally knew what we had to do to get a car. In the meantime, the 2006 Honda (red) sold so I called Paul and he told me that he had a 2006 Honda Odyssey (Greenish Grey) that was loaded. I told him to go ahead and work up a deal. We did everything that Holmes asked us to do and the deal was going through. Paul was going to be gone the day we were to come over so he assigned us to Kane McCullin. Kane worked diligently on our case just as Paul had and on Friday April 30th we drove the 90 miles back to Shreveport to get our new vehicle sight unseen. You see I knew already that I could trust these guys to deliver what was expected in a used vehicle. We are very pleased with our purchase and as far as we are concerned we will purchase all vehicles both new and used at Holmes Honda and their team. More
We had a very good experience with Holmes Honda. The salesman answered all of our questions. This is my second honda purchase.
