Robert was very nice. However, I called ahead to verify that an alignment could be performed on a modified suspension 335i and drove an hour from home to have it done. The front camber was set as it should be, with really only the rear needing adjustment. I was told they work on modified suspension all the time and it would be no problem but would take about two hours. After almost a three hour wait, I was then told the work couldn’t be done. It would require SEVEN HOURS for the alignment, but was not made aware of what exactly they’d need seven hours for. The few adjustments they did make then threw off the front into the red that had been previously in the green when I arrived. It turned out the long wait had been two recalls they performed that they didn’t discuss with me on check-in or make me aware that I had. As someone who works at a dealership myself, I was dismayed by not being updated through the process to let me know the status. And the reasoning Robert provided for being unable to perform the alignment made very little sense. I have the suspension set at its max height, but he said it would first need to be raised. He then said it’s obviously been drifted and used as a race car, the strut might be bent, and likely has frame damage. He also said he wouldn’t charge full price of the alignment for the work not being completed, but his discounted price was in fact just the full cost internet pricing of $149. More
