Melvin, the mechanic, took time to understand the issues I had with my car (tire pressure light and wheel locks, etc..). He fixed the problems in no time. He was courteous, professional and helpful. I would not mind returning again when needed and definitely ask for Melvin to take care of my car. More

This Service/Dealership was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. My engine oil light came on and I wanted to come in before I went to work in the morning and these guys took me right away. I pulled right i helpful. My engine oil light came on and I wanted to come in before I went to work in the morning and these guys took me right away. I pulled right into Service and Parts and a gentleman named Alex asked if I had an appointment, but after I told him no, he went inside and set everything up for me and I was warmly greeted by Joseph. After about 30 minutes I was done and went on with my day with one thing less to worry about. My only problem with them was the customer service. I looked up their number on their dealer website and called the service number prior to coming in to make sure they are open and are willing to take me in, but to no luck, no one answered. The schedule says they are open 7am to 7pm on the day I came in but I only got an answering machine spoken by a young lady. I asked Alex but he told me maybe because the lines were busy or the advisors were busy with customers. I didn't think that was the case because I did not see any young lady that morning working at the counters where I was sitting. Whatever the case was, I find this a bit unprofessional because I called after 7:20am which should have been ample amount of time for the secratary to pick up after they opened. Maybe they should hire another extra person or they may lose customers in the morning like this. To be fair, service department was beyond great and I will love to return when needed again. More
One of the worst experiences....they charged $628 labor for work completed in 2 hours...when questioned about the discrepancy, I was offered very unconvincing answers....I am filing a lawsuit as they just for work completed in 2 hours...when questioned about the discrepancy, I was offered very unconvincing answers....I am filing a lawsuit as they just cannot rip off customers like this. I leased my 2010 Honda Civic from this dealership in August of 2010. One year later I took my car in for the yearly state inspection and was told I needed ALL new brakes, I couldn't believe it. A year o August of 2010. One year later I took my car in for the yearly state inspection and was told I needed ALL new brakes, I couldn't believe it. A year old car shouldn't need new brakes at all! The man that typed up the paper work also rudely told me maybe you shouldn't ride your brakes. I've had cars previous to this and never had problems such as this, SO... After doing some research and calling Honda Corp, thinking maybe there was something wrong with the car, I was told to take it to another Honda dealership to get a second opinion. I did. The results- There was absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes, I didn't need new brakes at all. HILLSIDE HONDA LIED! If you're looking for a car or to service your car go else where. More
Over charged me for 60,000 mile service . Did not need timing belt and water pump changed but they lied and made me change it. I filed a complain with DMV. DMV inspector got me some money back from 1800 t timing belt and water pump changed but they lied and made me change it. I filed a complain with DMV. DMV inspector got me some money back from 1800 total bill. My advise to all is that get everything in writing, signed and get a second opinion from another dealer. More
My daughter just had her first service done on her 2011 Honda Fit at the Hillside dealership and had a very frightening and bad experience. The guy who serviced her car did not properly bolt back the tires Honda Fit at the Hillside dealership and had a very frightening and bad experience. The guy who serviced her car did not properly bolt back the tires before handling the car to her. After driving a while she heard a terrible sound and she stopped to check and decided to go back to the service Luckily, she was able to drive it back before something happens. This is unacceptable, she could have had a an accident especially that she was about to enter the expressway. Thanks God she is OK but I don't think she will go back to that place anymore.Don't you people have a system of checking and counter checking or sort of quality control to prevent this mistake from happening? You are dealing with peoples lives and this should not happen.I know this place is up to no good. When I first bought this car for her, the salesmen we were dealing with were rediculous.First when I was trying to make a deal, their was this salesman who gave us a price that was even more than the sticker price. Did he think we were stupid? Well, we got a deal from another salesman (from the same place of course)and this guy just could not mind his own bussiness. He insisted that my daughter should finance the car herself because she is already old should not rely on her mother for money. He even said that they are of the same age and he had not asked money from his parents for a long long time.He made my daughter cry.Could you teach your salespeople manners?. I also have a 2011 Honda CRV which I bought six months ago about the same time I got the car for my daughter.I bought mine at Southeastern Honda here in Palm Bay Florida and their people are the best compared to the people in Hillside Honda of Jamaica New York. This is our third Honda and I like the car and if I remember it right I also had a bad experince with my first Honda which I also bought from the Hillside dealership around twenty years ago. They never change, I guess. Thank you and I hope to hear your response. Mrs. Salome R. Zapanta More
Hillside Honda is a pleasure to deal with. Been to quite a few dealerships in the past, but everything about this Honda location... from their service to sales is a pleasure to deal with. Carlos Reis the s a few dealerships in the past, but everything about this Honda location... from their service to sales is a pleasure to deal with.
